Very effective with helping the patient set boundaries. Responds quickly to an emergency situation. Easy to stay on track of your life due to his ease of follow up appointments.

He draws limits with compassion but can be stern. To truly help someone out of control, the doctor needs to be able to take charge. A real gentleman.

My personal experience with Dr. Harvey Lerchin has proved to be a particularly unpleasant one. After being his patient for over two years, I expected a little bit more concern and compassion for my situation- I was treated with the exact opposite. During my last visit, he rushed me out of his office in the most rude manner, and did not follow up to see how I was doing. He exemplifies very little genuine concern for patients, but if you are looking for an easy refill on a prescription, he is your man; but, if you are paying a psychiatrist for his or her time and want that time to actually be helpful, find another doctor. There are plenty.
