Dr. Hassan H Monfared

I don't know how Emory let this guy in. He didn't introduce himself, barged into the room and commanded me to perform the physical functions to assess my condition. He was curt, rude, told me there was no solution to my kyphosis other than stretching at home and barely let me ask any questions. It was a horrible and scary experience - given that he deals with a lot of trauma in this field, he did not have trauma-informed skills and wanted me out of the way as soon as possible. I had to beg for a physical therapy order at least. He said I had no hope and my condition would get worse. I can't believe Dr. Burke (who was wonderful) referred me to this charlatan. Also, the rest of the Emory rehab team was so professional, that this guy came as a huge shock. I gave the feedback personally to Dr. Burke and he surprisingly claimed that this was the first he had heard of such poor quality of care from Monfared. I'm still just shocked that he can be allowed to practice.

I am a heathcare provider myself., his exam was spot on and he tested all the correct areas , reflexes and dermatomes. Impressive. The ER did none of the above. He was running behind but did not show it.

This doctor should not be able to call himself a pain management doctor. He refuses to prescribe narcotics unless you have cancer.
