Dr. Haya Yankelev, MD

Her attitude was consistently bad. We stopped seeing her for our kids because of her unsympathetic/undermining attitude. As a well-educated parent, I was feeling miserable after seeing her.

My son has seen her since he was newborn, 3.5 years. She is laid back and candid, which I've always appreciated. My son feels comfortable with her and you can tell she genuinely cares for him.

My two children have been patients of Dr. Yankelev for almost 15 years and we could not be happier! Dr. Yankelev is highly knowledgable and she has a very kind, caring and understanding manner when dealing with both children and adults.

My two daughters were patients of Dr. Yankelev about 10 years ago. Her incredibly unprofessional and unsympathetic attitude is what made us stop seeing her. During the last appointment we went to her for, my daughter had a “cyst” (which later turned out to be a tumor that required two surgeries to remove. Dr. Yankelev insisted that it be “drained” in the office. As it was actually a solid mass, the “drainage” process was incredibly painful for my daughter. Dr Yankelev told her to “stop being dramatic.” Absolutely apalling. She also told my other daughter, who had diagnosed behavioral issues to “stop being so rude” when she was having a hard time getting through the appointment.

my 2 kids have been patients of Dr Yankelev for 3 years. She had come recommended to us by friends. We were disappointed. She showed that she did not care when my son had low white blood cell count and was fighting some kind of infection. She did not even want to investigate that. I had to go and seek treatment somewhere else for my son who ended up having pneumonia. last year I was surprised when she was sacarstic with us and did not seem to be enjoying her job.

Her attitude to patients was really bad. You will feel miserable after seeing her.

You can be a great Doctor, but if you feel the need to be condescending, you should find another line of work.
