Dr. Heidi Erika Godoy, DO

She was not attentive to my concerns.

I came to Dr Godoy from a referral from my GP. From the moment I met her I knew I was in good hands. She is a positive, happy,very professional and understanding young woman. I am an over weight older lady with lots of medical history. I thank her for not seeing me this way. I come out of my visits and procedures with her and her wonderful staff feeling like “ we’ve got this” She is wonderful!!

Dr. Godoy is compassionate, thorough and keeps things real. I would recommend her to any woman who needs her speciality.

A vet is better than this woman. Hang up your shoes!

Very bad experience with this “doctor”...I don’t even feel she deserves this title, to be perfectly honest. She is cold, heartless, and should not be practicing medicine, especially in such a sensitive field. Perhaps she should be working in a position where she has no contact with people at all.

Doctor performed a total hysterectomy by robotic surgery with no complications and I was discharged from the hospitalal the next day. Ater surgery,I had chemo in her office and Barbara the chemo nurse was wonderful. I am now awaiting radiation therapy.Doctor Godoy answers all my questions and is very compassionate to me and my family.She is a outstanding doctor.

Dr. Heidi Godoy is an excellent doctor. Knowledgeable, kind, funny and the best bed side manner!! I would highly recommend her to anyone!! Thank you again Heidi for taking such good care of me!!

I recently had a hysterectomy performd by Dr. Goddoy at Vassar Brothers Hospital. I must say that the experience was much more positive than I expected due to Dr. Goddoy's knowledge, expertise and preparation. The operation went very smoothly and only lasted one hour. Previous to the surgery, Dr. Godday met with me three times. She answered all questions and came to the pre-op room to reassure that things would go well...which they did. amazingly so. She and her team were more than competent. swift, precise, focused, confident and kind I was very nervous going in, but came out relieved and well. It seemed to go by so quickly and I was able to go home after two nights in the hospital. I would recommend this venue and doctor in a heart beat. I am so happy that I was referred to Dr. Goddoy. Thank you.

Upon reading the previous reviews, it truly saddened me. While I am profoundly sorry for those that did not feel that their experience was as it should be for whatever reason, I have a very different perception and point of view on the subject of Dr. Godoy. As a healthcare professional myself, I have been exposed to a multitude of doctors over the years. Their personalities and skill sets vary from one to the next. As personalities are known to do, not all are good fits with others. Such is the human condition. Various physicians stand out from the pack for different reasons but Dr. Godoy has always stood out to me as one who GENUINELY cares. On top of being an incredibly skilled and accomplished surgeon, she has proved herself to be an ally to those women that come into her care. She does not just focus on the physical aspects of a patients’ condition. Their mindset and emotional well-being are things that are considered on a regular basis. Your fight becomes her fight, your losses… hers, your triumphs celebrated. THIS is the doctor that I want at my side. This is the doctor that I know will have my back for the fight and my hand in times when compassion and tenderness is needed. This is the doctor I know her to be.

I visited Dr. Godoy a few times for Cancer follow ups. Cancer was over 6 years ago and she was not the treating doctor at that time but I go for follow ups. During follow ups, she was very insensitive and rude and did not like to answer questions. Even though Cancer was 6 years ago, she seemed to always find something to biopsy on my vulva, which was not even where I had the Cancer and the tests always resulted in a negative result. No other doctor I saw for follow ups ever found the need to biopsy every itch. But the 4 times that I saw her, 3 of those resulted in biopsies that turned out to be nothing. She would cut without even caring to use anesthetic and then send me on my way with no after care instructions. I asked if I should be concerned about something and she would say it's her job to be concerned, not mine. Excuse me but it's MY life and I deserve information. Last time she did a biopsy, I bled for 10 days because she sent me home without making sure the bleeding… was under control. She cuts, applies pressure and leaves the room telling me, I can get dressed and that is the last I see of her. So I would get dressed and with a searing pain, make my way to my car feeling like a piece of meat in a meat market. After a few days, I called during off hours when I got concerned about the ongoing bleeding, the on call doctor advised me of the aftercare instructions and what I should do and I eventually recovered. I also thought it was odd that these biopsies were done with nobody else in the room. I thought there was a supposed to be a nurse or assistant in the room. That was my last visit. I won't be going back to her. If ever I need the services of an Gynecologic Oncologist, I might see a different doctor in the practice, but not Dr. Godoy.
