Dr. Helen Olushola Fasanya-Uptagraft, MD

Would NEVER go back or recommend Midwest GI unless you want to be treated like a moron. This gal had NO idea why I was there. Couldn’t be bothered to check the referring notes apparently. She is arrogant and rude and I would not trust her. Save your money and go some where that cares about their patients and treats them with respect. Only giving one star because I have to. She deserves negative stars

Dr. Uptagraft has been wonderful; listens to my concerns and shows that she really cares about me as a person not just a patient.

Doctor kind of acts annoyed rather than empathetic or interested in what you’re saying. I’ve seen a lot of doctors in my life and she was not openly mean but definitely not someone you feel comfortable talking to. Her nurse on the other hand was so incredibly kind and helpful.

Dr Fasanya treated my father very well. Staff was friendly and Dr helped get the answers we needed.

I was beyond impressed with my experience at MGI. My first contact with Dr. Fasanya and I was completely blown away by how helpful and kind she was and how fast she was at getting back to me! A lot of doctors don’t realize how important it is to have an administration like Dr. Fasanya. She was caring and took her time in addressing my concerns. BEST DOCTOR IN OMAHA

Came into my hospital room & didn't know about an inflamed liver during my pancreatitis episode because she never looked at my bloodwork that showed very high numbers. Was going to order an MRI which I had the day before because she didn't look at my chart. Bad!!

Treats patients like they are an annoyance if you ask any questions and she doesn't listen to what you are describing for symptoms. Does not respond to phone messages and isn't interested in patient GI needs. Will not respond to pharmacies for refill orders and simply does not care about patient issues.

Staff did not get required information prior to a procedure. As a I patient I was proactive and let them know they needed to get it. They didn't. In a follow up doctor said "I wished I had that information before..". Prescribed meds that were not covered by insurance and well outside my budget. Asked if I could get a lower cost script, she refused. Almost two months later I get a call from a pharmacy with a lower cost script which is worthless since getting a second opinion from a more attentive doctor and staff.

Abrupt bedside manner. Not patient friendly. Gives impression you are on an assembly line for procedure and not interested in follow-up care. Forget questions....she does not listen or care.
