Dr. Helena Okechukwu Mba, MD

Dr Mba was recommended to me by a younger mother from a mommy's group that I am a member of. I should have listened when a few of the more seasoned mothers warned me that she does not listen to her patients. I have been experiencing severe incontinence and reached out to her office a couple of times about it. The first time I was told it was normal. The second time I was given an appointment in October, the 3rd time I pushed for a sooner appointment because it was becoming a problem. I was told by Dr Mba to use my bonding time to continue to recover. I called EDD to ask about bonding time, as I am new to all of this and the rep was kind enough to inform me that bonding time is not for recovery and I should talk to my care provider about extending my medical leave as this sounded medical. I reached back out to Dr Mba and came to speak with her and she did not even want to talk about it. She cut me off stating she was not extending anything for anyone because she had received 2 letters… from EDD in the past so she does not extend for anyone. I have never felt so diminished by my own care provider. I am starting to feel super self conscious about this incontinence issue and to add insult to injury, the urologist that she referred me out to cannot see me until November 6, and Dr Mba could care less.i asked for my file so i could seek treatment elsewhere and made it a poiu t to let me know that she has 14 days by law to get it to me so she will within 14 days, prolonging my ability to seek care by another physician, which seems almost unethical and morally corrupt. I just basically have to urinate on myself until November. If you are a new expecting mom, I urge you to keep looking for a care provider, as Dr Mba does not care. I am trying to care for a 1 month old all while dealing with a severe incontinence issue and a care provider that does not care at all. Don't be like me.

First time patient as a referral from primary for more evaluation. Due to COVID 19 and health protocol and first time, there was the necessary paperwork. Dr.Mba 's front and back office staff were competent, courteous, and professional. Dr. Mba and the staff explained the procedure before as well as during. Dr. Mba's demeanor is one of joy, positive,having the professional skill, the necessary ability for her profession.

Staff is rude and unprofessional. The doctor doesn’t care about your wellbeing. I regret ever using this place.

Dr. Mba is a great doctor, she's very kind. However, the office staff is not. The first and last visit I had they were rude. I tried to give the office the benefit of the doubt, because I really liked Dr. Mba. However, I never received follow up results from my first appointment. Also, when the time came that I desperately needed to be seen by the doctor again, I could NOT get ahold of the office. I called 2-3 times a day, 2-3 times a week. Each time I was sent straight to the voicemail. I left one voicemail, with the hope to get a call back, and never did. I understand it gets busy, but at this point I've decided to switch doctors.

I’ve had an amazing experience with this doctor and her office. The staff is amazing and very hard-working. I am always aware of my results there promptly after I’ve had my test done. It’s not a hassle to get results like it has been at other facilities I’ve gone through. The doctor herself is very professional and knowledgeable in her diagnosis towards me. I’ve been coming to her for years and will continue to do so for myself and my family this doctor is the BEST. I’ve gone to other doctors and the wait is the same everywhere. Yes, it’s long wait time but you can’t expect good quality care if your visits are a rushed through right? In my experience with her she does not let me leave her office if I am in doubt of something she tells me. She make sure I understand everything that is going on with me.

Doctor Mba said it was impossible for me to have endomitriosis at age 30 " I was too young for it " NOT TRUE !!! FOUND OUT THAT WAS NOT TRUE AT ALL. Even teens can have endo. There was too much time elasped that non treatment lead to damage and more suffering. I was also explained that heavy menses was all in my head and just see a psychiatrist.

Helena Mba is so amazing. She is very professional and I feel at ease.

The waiting time is horrible!!!! I show up 20 mins early but waited more then an hr for my appointment and all she did when came in was measure my stomach and listen to baby heart and thats it.....and i told her about vary bad back pain...and she didnt ask where or how bad or anything...it was a kidney infection that put me in the hospital for 3 days.....shes horrible!!!!! Also tried telling her i was prone to have preterm labor but she just kept saying she cant go off that...that well wait and see if it happens.....didnt do any normal checking of my cerivix or any swabs like shes supposed to and i do t trust her to do my c-section....she didnt even want to fill out my husbands flma forms even tho she charged me to sit and wait for another hour while she checked other patients....she dont properly check or care for her patients...im switched drs even if i have to have my baby a week or 2 early....i do t want her anywhere mear me or my baby!!!!

Dr. Mba is the best OB GYN she treats and cares for patients very well

EVERY TIME I go in for my appoinent it takes at least 2 hours to be seen because she always has all these women clammed up in her lobby waiting to be seen...then when she finally sees you she does what she has to do then rushes out the door without sasking if the patient has any questions because shes trying to get to the next patient. Not to mention I left her some voicemails before and she has not returned my calls a couple times..I can go on about some moreeee bad experiences I had with her but Ill make it short and say I wouldnt recommend her...ive experienced good doctors and she is not one of those...shes horrible!
