This was my first visit with her. Im having pain on left side. I bring my labs and test done so far. Try and narrow down the problem. She looks at the results and says so since these test are negative whats your next step or plan. As if thats not the reason I came to see her the DOCTOR. Second after reading the results she says well if all the other doctors are telling you this then that's your issue. When NONE of my reports or labs even has a dignoses. She NEVER looked at the area of pain touched it or anything. Never even asked me to sit on the exam table. Worst visit ever. Waste of time. I was told to take a form of stool softner and that would fix the issue of my joint and bone pain on the left side. All doctors want to do is bill your insurance not heal patience!!!!
They never answer the phone everything is done online, even though the doctor is great it would be nice to get a phone call instead of all this messages you can't open because you have to find the time to register first and open an account, I'm a busy mom, sometimes a phone call whe driving or doing dishes is a lot easier than having to log onto the Internet. Don't like that at all. For months they have a message for me but they don't call, they dont answer the phone easily and I don't have time to register for another online account. Again the doctor is great, their system is very impersonal with no other option easy to find.
I'm not sure what is going on with Dr. Patel. At my first visit I was very impressed at how much she knew and how much time she spent with me, although I did overhear her arguing with a patient when I first got there (that wasn't the last time I heard her arguing with someone). I do think she's very competent, and I was impressed that the doctors themselves call with test results, but her bedside manner is pretty poor and it was rather difficult to get in to see her. Instead, I was often was redirected to her partner. The times we did see Dr. Patel she seemed pretty irritable and a bit condescending and the last time we were there, one of my family members overheard her say something derogatory about us. If you don't mind bad manners and condescension, you may like her because I think she's actually a pretty good doc. Personally, I want a doc that I'm reasonably comfortable with.
Dr. Patel really does have great bedside manners, she is humble, understanding a a wonderful listener. I enjoy the fact she cares for those who depend on her for health care and she is there when I need her. Dr. Patel goes out of her way to helpand she is straight up. Keep doing what you do best Dr. Patel is the person I trust and I know I am hard to please.
