I was told by my primary to get a colonoscopy because I’m of a certain age and she recommended the gastroenterologist they have in their practice. I have the colonoscopy and wasn’t able to complete it due to adhesions. He told me that day that I should have a CT scan. Almost 2 weeks later I’m waiting to hear from his office to schedule this. I’ve called them and was told they’re waiting to hear from him. Unacceptable.

Dr. Ferstenberg was my surgeon when I had colon cancer and he is the best. He's very thorough and is genuinely concerned about his patients and places their welfare first. He is very supportive and was always there when I needed help. He has a heart of gold and a great sense of humor which is very helpful when dealing with nervous people(like myself). He's my first choice if I need advice.

The doctor is disgusting and he touches patients while they are under anesthesia.

Dr. Ferstenberg is a straight shooter. I don't know if I've ever met a doc with more hands on experience. He's see it and done it all. His manner is caring, but fact based, buffered by knowledge; not blunt, but straight, and I appreciate that deeply.

Dr. Henry Ferstenberg is an exceptional guy. Not only is he a highly experienced and extremely knowledgeable physician, he is a warm and caring man who makes time for his patient and is always accessible. Seriously, he might well be the only physician in New York who actually answers his own phone. A national treasure, he gets my vote for "doctor of the year." On second thought, make that "doctor of the decade"!

Dr. Ferstenberg performed the first surgery I ever had in my life. He was friendly, thorough and and put me at ease instantly. A year after my very successful hernia operation, Dr. Ferstenberg called me to check on my progress. Excellent care!
