Dr. Henry Swift Ohalloran, MD

I'd give 5 stars. We've taken our 17-yr old son to this eye doctor (Dr. O'Halleran) since he was 4 yrs old (when he was diagnosed with a childhood eye problem). This Dr. is GREAT with kids of all ages. He also explains things clearly and has proven over the years to be highly competent at what he does. Personally, I am picky about doctors and dentists, as I have not always had a good experience. However, this ONE Dr., has been the exception all these years. I've not had any problems with the staff either--but even if I had--I would still go to this Dr.!!

Dr. O has always been good to my family. I have known him for years and would trust him with my kids eyes any day of the week!

Dr. O'Halloran is one of the best doctors my daughter has ever seen. He always took extremely great care of her during her two surgeries. She loves him. At 3yrs old she knew she was going into surgery and she took his hand and walked back there with him with no fear. She is 11 and now and still loves him.

My daughter was born extremely prematurely and had ROP. We have been seeing Dr. O'Halloran since she was discharged from the NICU. He is kind, caring, knowedgeable, and above all, has my daughter's health and well-being in the forefront of his mind. We are blessed to have such a wonderful doctor to preserve and protect her eyesight.

We first started going to Dr. O'Halloran a year ago and my son had an eye dominance issue that was believed to possible be corrected by eye patches, then eye glasses. Both failed and we were referred to another doctor in another state due to a military deployment. That eye surgery was botched and Dr. O corrected the botched initial surgery and now six months later my sons eyes are as straight as an arrow. I have no problem referring anyone to him.

Dr O'Halloran treated my son and our family like royalty. My son was born with a congenital eye condition. My regular eye doctor did not have the advanced training to treat my son and referred us to Dr. Ohalloran. Dr O'Halloran recommended and performed surgery and fixed the problem and saved my son's eyesight! My husband & I are so grateful for having such a skilled specialist like Dr. O'Halloran in San Diego. If your child needs an eye doctor, Dr O'Halloran will exceed your expectations!

This doctor told me my boy needed surgery right away. He gave us the wrong glasses. When we went elsewhere and got the right glasses suddenly my son did not need an operation! Can you imagine he would have had surgery if we didn't double check? Sure this doctor is friendly but that isn't enough.

We love Dr. O'Halloran. He makes my daughter feel at ease and has a great way with kids. She loves to go see him.

Wow he was full of himself. He came in and diagnosed my child in seconds as needing surgery. He barely listened to me but tried to make jokes. He told me how great he was and the right one to do the operation. We RAN out of there and found a genuinely caring doctor that took the time to talk to us and it turned out we did not need the surgery. At least get a second opinion before this pretty aggressive guy gets a hold of your child.
