I was sent to UPMC ICU under Dr. Zeh's care, from a different hospital, with Pancreatitis, and a hole in my duodenum and intestine as a result of an ERCP gone wrong at the other hospital. I also got a bad e-coli infection from the leakage of the perforation. My gall bladder was 4x normal size. No other doctor would take on the surgery. Dr. Zeh got me safely through Intensive Care in critical condition, to a regular room until the infection was clear. When all the swelling went down, he was the one who did robotic surgery on me. (No one else felt competent enough to do any kind of surgery on me). He saved my life, and I will forever be grateful. He also has a pleasant personality, and goes to great lengths to listen to and answer all your questions. He doesn't rush, and doesn't leave the room until you are satisfied that you have all the information that you seek that visit.

Does not follow through. Can't think out of the box. Will make a plan and you will not hear from him again. You are on your own with this guy.
