Refuses to provide care to trans women, both myself and my fiancee. Instead you get a gaslight-y runaround. Declined to take an oral history and instead insisted upon receiving prior charts directly from all our past doctors; I spent a month and half trying and failing to coordinate all the paperwork. And that was just for a first appointment, by the way. Eventually my fiancee managed to get an appointment for herself, and I came along. At the appointment, Metcalf said her "husband" was trans; I suspect she was misgendering her ex-wife. Told us "he" would drive six hours to Ann Arbor to see a doctor for trans care. Also told us to see a psychiatrist for our psych meds, which would have been another long drive to somewhere deep in the mitten. Both her and her staff spent months stonewalling me, until I called the clinic's main line and left an irate voicemail. The next day, Metcalf's office called to schedule an appointment—a vain attempt to keep me from seeing a real doctor? I… declined.
