Dr. Hillard Rodney Zallen, MD

I will try to keep this as short as possible. I went to go see Dr. Zallen after suffering months of gut pain, headaches, and years of chronic pain and fatigue. The appointment actually began with Dr.Zallen telling me that I wouldn’t find a diagnosis for my problems because “medical testing just isn’t that good” which I thought was astounding as I wasn’t looking for an immediate diagnosis. All other tests and labs from other doctors had come back normal, so I was just looking for medical advice and to maybe be led in the right direction. After spending the whole appointment being interrupted multiples of times and not being able to express the severity my symptoms, I was dismissed from the office. I “probably had IBS” was told to follow a strict diet plan, which was unfortunate. If Dr. Zallen had listened, I was already on such a minimal diet of rice, bananas, boiled chicken, etc. because even the most basic of foods were causing me pain. I felt completely overlooked, I didn’t feel… listened to, and most of all, I felt stupid. Two months later, after begging another doctor of mine to see me, they got me in for some more labs and tests. As of current, I have been diagnosed with chronic gastritis in my stomach, an ulcer in my duodenum, and fibromyalgia. Pretty alarming for just having IBS, right? I’m still looking for answers in regards to my headaches, although they might just be fibromyalgia related, but thankfully I’m in better hands now. I’m assuming this Dr. Zallen doesn’t care about complex cases or anyone experiencing symptoms he can’t diagnose at the drop of a hat. But, considering that ulcers are pretty dang common, I would take a bet that he just doesn’t care. If you need someone to listen to you, this isn’t your doctor. If you need someone to take your symptoms seriously, this isn’t your doctor. If you need someone with compassion, this isn’t your doctor.

This guy is a mentally unstable and sadistic person. Beware.
