Dr. Hoang Giep, MD

My husband and I have 6 beautiful babies. We had the pleasure of having Dr. Giep deliver 3 of them. When I moved here to Spartanburg the only referral for a OBYN I was given was the dr that was afflicted with Mary Black. They delivered our 3 oldest. There were no complications but, I wish we knew of Dr. Giep before hand. He is a known name in my family and he’s more than just my OB he’s our friend and family. You’re in good hands with Dr. Giep. He doesn’t sugar coat things and he takes care of you like you’re family. WE LOVE YOU DR. GIEP!!!! The Byrd Family

this doctor is very easy to talk to. Great. The staff is awesome. The office is easy to get to and accessible.

The Dr was fine, the office was awful. Extremely crowded and overbooked, even though I got there right after they opened. Waited over an hour past my appointment time, no flexibility in working with my schedule, and wanted to charge a copay PLUS asked me to bring extra money (as in $150 extra!) to my next appointment for "global charges not covered by insurance". My insurance pays 100 percent for OB. I double checked to be sure. I didn't pay a dime with my other kids. She said well if that's true we'll probably reimburse you. Nope, that's your job to find out beforehand. They only had a dozen people working up front! You sort out the insurance! I took my kids to the dentist yesterday and they had my cost for this visit and the next two outlined and cross checked with both insurance companies (we have a dental supplement). That's how it's done of you want my business! I have good insurance and I WILL take those $$ elsewhere. I'm a paying customer, I do not cower to doctors offices.… It's a business, just like any other. I don't know why people put up with crappy service. You wouldn't put up with that at a burger joint, so why deal with it when it comes to your health? I was going to keep the inconvenient appointment anyway and walked out and saw at least 20 people waiting. No thanks! I won't be going back.

I was diagnosed with Uterine Fybroids and had an Ablation in 2010. Two years later, they came back doubled in size, and almost tripled in quantity. Thank God for Dr. Hoang Giep's expertise, he performed the Robotic Hysterectomy within weeks of the diagnosis and I am home 1 week after surgery thanking God for His blessings and Dr. Hoang Giep.I recommend this doctor to every woman who can reach him...he is excellent, compassionate, and caring!
