Dr. Homayoun Sohrabi, MD

This is Dr Sohrabi. In response to another comment here, I simply would like to inform the readers that I have nothing to do with the billing. I get paid an hourly rate to work in the emergency department. I see every single patient who comes through the ER doors regardless of their insurance. Many of the patients whom I treat have no insurance at all. The billing is done by the company who hires me to work in the ER. I am not involved at all with the billing, nor do I set the charges. In the overwhelming majority of cases, I do not even know how much the patients are charged. My job is to see and treat the patients in the emergency department. Again, I have nothing to do with the prices or the billing. Thank you. I am giving myself a rating here just so I can post this comment :)

We saw this doctor at the local ER when my son broke his hand. Sohrabi comes in and tells us a bone is broken. Duh. We kind of knew that. Then asks my son if he needs anger management classes because he hit a door. The nurse put the splint on. He did nothing except read the X-ray. Then I get a check from my insurance for $292 because he doesn't accept Blue Cross Blue Shield and I'm supposed to pay the rest of the $1018 bill I receive from him. I'm not sure how he thinks he provided services worth that much money. If we ever have to go to the ER again, I'll be asking if he is the doctor working. If so, we won't be staying.
