Dr. Hongsheng Zhu, MD, PhD

I saw Dr Zhu for ongoing right knee pain following injury several months prior. My son and I have been patients for several years. Dr Zhu is always very welcoming and kind, he remembers our history with detail. I have held Dr Zhu in very high regard, not only for his expertise, but also his honesty. Helping to guide in decision making and ensuring the best outcomes. Highly recommend!

Came in for a mild fracture of my ankle. I assume that they set up certain time frame for patient appointments, but he was in and out within 5 minutes. Went over my xray and to come back in 6 weeks. That was about it. I was even 20 minutes early for my appointment and they brought me back right away, which was nice. Though, I didn't even get a chance to finish filling out the paperwork.

Dr Zhu did my arthroscopic knee surgery and I would highly recommend him and his skill set. He explained the procedure and fielded my questions. His bed side manner could be a smidge better however I prefer his direct approach.

I first met Dr. Zhu in the pre op meeting. He listened to all my concerns and explained everything he saw on x-rays and the procedure very well. Made everything very easy to understand. He prescribed me pain medication since I was running out from my visit to the ER to get my foot put back into place and wrapped. I waited a few days longer to get the Surgery. Surgery day he stopped in to see me and asked if I had any questions and how I was feeling. Called my husband and explained how things went after surgery (COVID time period so he was not allowed in building). His office called a couple days after surgery to check up on me. Then post op appointment. His assistants remove my stitches, more x-rays, than he came in to discuss what the x-rays now are showing, what again happened in procedure, checked my healing and movement, gave me suggestions on movements to do, discussed future steps in the process of healing. I felt he could not of gone over things any more. I feel I was in great… hands and he knew what he was doing. If I ever need another foot surgery or ankle, hopefully will not, I know I will be going back to him. We will see how time heals and I know I will never be the same prior to the break, metal plates and screws are now part of who I am.

Dr. Zhu did an operation on my foot recently. He was insistent on informing me of the various surgical and nonsurgical options I had and his recommendation. Post-op I felt that he cared personally about my rehab. I can't recommend him enough.

Dr. ZHu performed a complicated ankle fusion on my left ankle and today I can do many physical activities I could not do before and without pain. He is very skillful as the procedure required two plates and 15 screws. I highly recommend him.

the worse dr I have seen - if I could give minus stars I would - first saw him the day of my injury (2 broken bones in my foot) said he doesn't believe in pain pills so barely gave me any just to sleep at night he said - obviously in pain during the day - spent 5 min with me told me to come back in 6 weeks - thankfully went for a second opinion - one of the bones was over 1/4 in displaced - needed surgery - never would have healed correctly - so had to start the healing process all over - then today I get the bill for zhu it is $1,023.00!!!! for 5 min and wrong diagnosis!!!!!

Avoid see this so called doctor at all costs!!!! After being diagnosed with 2 fractures in my foot/ ankle I was instructed to see an orthopedic MD to determine if I needed to be in a cast or would be fine with the boot and crutches I was currently using. Dr Zhu seemed to have no idea why we were there. He spent about 3 min looking at my foot with no comparison to the mechanics/ structure of my other foot and determined that I was fine. I explained I had a very physical job, carrying over 80 lb, ladder work 10-20000 steps a day and at this point I could not put any pressure on it without extreme pain. In his eyes I was fine and could go back to work in a week. Asking him questions as he wakes out the door. Concerned I made another apt with another doc. Turns out completely ruptured tendon with possible surgery. Malpractice in me eyes.

I found Dr. Zhu to be an exceptional surgeon. I had a severe fracture of my ankle,which Dr.Zhu repaired with many screws and metal plate. I have had a total recovery and I am sincerely grateful for Dr. Zhu's skills and expertise. Thank you so much
