Dr. Howard Leroy Brooks II, MD

This was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a medical provider. I was in the middle of a three-visit treatment series with Dr. Brooks. Due to inclement weather and a road closure, I arrived at his office at 11:55 for a 11:45 appointment. I was advised that he would not be able to see me due to my late arrival. I explained the situation and told the front desk that it was only ten minutes after my scheduled appointment. I was then told that Dr. Brooks, took the patient scheduled next and would be going to lunch at 12pm. I further explained that I had just drove an hour to the office and asked if I could be put in the slot of the person he was in with that was scheduled after me. The "girl" repeated, he is going to lunch at 12pm. I had been in the healthcare field for 34 years prior to retirement. Never had I seen this lack of concern and compassion for a patient by a healthcare provider. Needless to say, I will not be returning to complete my treatment with… Dr. Brooks.

Awful. He spends a few minutes at most with you and barely looks at your face. He permanently scarred my face.

Dr. Brooks is very talented, thoughtful, and extremely good at what he does. I've been seeing him for over 4 years and everytime my curiosity leads me to venture and "see what else is out there" I always end up circling back to him for regular care of my skin because I haven't met anyone better. He's super conscious of time and doesn't make you wait for long periods of time. I think this time management skill of his serves him and his patients well so that everyone's time is respected. I highly recommend him!

I read so many amazing reviews about this doctor and believed all of the hype so I tried 4-5 times to get ahold of the office until I was finally able to. The receptionist I spoke to over the phone was much friendlier then the rude red head receptionist that was there the day of my appointment. After I got there they didn't even have me in their records even though I booked my appointment and payed via Phone! They worked it out and said it's fine, they will still see me regardless of that fact. He barely said Hi and Bye to me at the appointment. He quicky asked me what the problem was, took a few seconds to jot notes then gave me a quick advice about what the possible issue might be WITHOUT DOING ANY KIND OF ASSESSMENTS or tests! Simply by just glansing at me! He was completely WRONG by the way. He then rushed out of his office to get his next client with a very cold fair well. At most, he saw me for 4 to 5 minutes and never followed up! The receptionists didn't wish me a nice day or… anything. Worst experience and a waste of $300! I really, really wanted to like this dermatologist and had such high hopes to frequent for other treatments and recomend him to family and friends.
