Dr. Howard Jay Lee, MD

Dr Lee has been my sleep apnea doctor since 1991 and I would not even think of going to another practice.

I’d give a zero star if that’s possible. Went in for follow up about what to do since cpap machine wasn’t working for me. I explained it gave me a claustrophobic feeling panicking while breathing. I’ve tried it an hr or two each night for two months. He has always been straightforward (which I didn’t mind) but there’s a line where you do not cross. Don’t know if he’s had a bad morning but I don’t care he literally strolled his stool face to face about 3 feet from me and raise his voice pointing his finger at me saying “ you are an obese” twice like I’m some kind of disease. He said all kind of mean things afterwards but in the back of my mind I was repeating what a disrespectful thing he just said. I know my blood pressure spiked I could feel my pulse and heat on my face. I wanted to scream but I know whatever comes out of my mouth will cause more trouble so I just walked out.

When I first went to the practice I saw Dr. Lee and I liked him. I was then in the hospital and they called Dr Lee in to see me. One of his associates came which was fine. then I tried to get an appointment with Dr Lee at the office. I couldn't see him because now the associate was my doctor. I didn't like Dr. Drames I wanted Dr. Lee who I initially came to the practice for. The staff was so mean, disrespectful and rude. They said they would have to ask Dr. Lee if he would see me. They wanted to know what I needed to come in for I said I was having hard time breathing. They said they would call me right back. Week later still waiting for call back. Scheduled with another practice. I'm sure they have so many patients they forgot to care about the patient. I work for a doctor in a different specialty in the same development as there office. Sometimes word of mouth says a lot. I let our staff know the patient comes first... maybe his staff should learn that.

Highly recommend Dr. Lee, very positive attitude towards patients, don't give up on you.

This doctor does not value human life. When he told me about a terminal illness he had a huge smile and brushed it off like it was a walk in the park. He is condescending and judgemental. He has no compassion and makes inappropriate remarks.

> Poor Communication Skills.> In my opinion he ordered testing that wasnt needed. In fact on my second visit, i took certain breathing tests prior to meeting with him in the office, when i got in the room I felt that he had forgot why i was there as he asked about a sympton that i wasnt even complaining about and he never mentioned the tests, it was only after i walked out and rememberd to ask about them he just gave me a thumbs up and said everything was ok??? Ok for a smoker which i am or a non smoker. This was a breathing test and he gave me no indication of the results or what it testing. I got a sense of arrogance
