Dr. Howard David Pomeranz, MD

Very disappointed. No patience, compassion or willingness to give me time and concern. I felt like he was telling me why did you come here and I don't want to waste my time treating you. I will never again go to Dr. Pomeranz.

I went to Dr Pomeranz after multiple doctors refused to listen about what I was experiencing even though I had been through it previously. He was the first person to listen to me and tell me I know my own body and to fight for myself. He sent me for the required test and I finally am being treated accordingly. I’m so grateful for him.

Dr. Pomeranz has been treating me for peripheral vision loss and myasthenis (double vision). From my experiences, he is knowledgeable, friendly, patient, clear and very "conversational." Never rushes me, and answers all my questions. His staff is excellent, very professional and knowledgeable. Front office people are efficient and show concern for patients and their questions. Highly recommend this practice and this doctor!

Cannot thank Dr Pomerantz and staff enough. Thank you for saving my wife's life!!! Saw what 2 other prior Dr's didn't and sent my wife right to the Emergency Room. She had a stroke and needed immediate hyper-intensive care. So glad we ignored negative reviews posted (people are quick to judge). Dr. was spot on with diagnosis and very patient explaining what he suspected. He even gave us his Cell number just in case ER had any questions or if we needed him further. Thank you Dr. Pomeranz and staff. We cannot thank you enough for your knowledge and professionalism. I highly recommend this office and really happy we finally found an eye specialist this good.

I visited Dr. Pomeranz, a neuro opthamologist because of constant dizziness caused by a fall. I had previously had my eyes tested several times elsewhere. After waiting an hour, the doctor’s staff unnecessarily retested me which took two more hours. I saw the doctor for 5-10 minutes and all he did was to test my prism glasses (which were fine) . He was disinterested in my dizziness symptoms, did not address the problem I went to see him for, provided no advice or diagnosis and told me maybe to see a concussion specialist. He seemed primarily interested in getting me out the door as quickly as possible. A very bad experience. Another neuro opthomologist thankfully diagnosed the problem.

Very dismissive, uninterested; he could care less why I was there and I am not sure he even acknowledged my problem. I was sorry I went to see him; it was like I was bothering him. If he is chief at North Shore or LIJ - they should boot him out

Aside from the super long wait time for all the tests, dr pomeranz was super through, gave the correct diagnosis, and very kind. I was hesitant because of the reviews but the reviews do not do this man justice! Great doctor

Hired by my disability insurance for a peer review and lied about what my doctor really said, thus closing my case.

Spent about 2-3 hours there having multiple tests by various techs and they were all wonderful. Finally got seen by Pomeranz and was disgusted. He made you feel like you were wasting his time despite us being there for a very serious medical condition. He may be a great doctor but I’d take my chances on someone else. The reviews here don’t lie.
