Dr. Humberto Saavedra, MD

My husband and I had been under the care of Dr.Humberto Saavedra and had been extremely pleased with the care and attention that we both received from him. His nursing personnel and Office Mgr. make mistakes at the expense of the patient. The murse at the time we were being taken care of was "Barbara" and her mgr "Florine". Barbara did not seem to care for the patients. She would give us the run-around when she knew she was supposed toile referrals or give us prescriptions. She would lose our paperwork and at times our files. She entered incorrect information on our pAperwork and even lost our paperwork that was time-sensitive. Shortly after her screw up, we received a "nasty" letter in the mail informing us that Dr.Saavedra was discontinuing the patient/doctor relationship and that we needed to go somewhere else to be seen by a different doctor. After a year or so, I got the chance to speak to Dr.Saavedra & he was surprised to see me in his office. He asked me what happened to me & my… husband & what was the reason that we didn't return up his office. I told him about the letter & he said he NEVER told anyone to send out that letter and that he NEVER signed that letter. I was confused as to why someone in his office would send out such a letter and led us to believe that it was by his authorization & his signature. Well, I asked for a copy of this letter and it was a copy with his signature. The next night I found the original letter only to find out that it was signed by the Offce Manager-Florine and Not Dr.Saavedra. Every time I have called his office and have asked to speak to him, they will not let me speak to him. Dr.Saavedra had informed me that he wanted my husband & I back as patients and that we just needed to make an appointment. Every time I have called they never let me speak to him. It's always one excuse after another. Dr.Saavedra IS a great Dr., its his staff that are lacking in common courtesy, professionalism, Ethics,,Need I say more? He needs a new staff altogether. Out with the Old and In with the New!!! Dr.Saavedracan do so much better if he would get rid of those bad apples. They lie and they conspire with one another to cover up their mess ups.

Despite take some time to get appointement,Doctor was very friendly,offered open questions before start physical exam,discussed with me lab results and plan to follow.It has been long time to find a doctor like dr Saavedra!

I would NOT recommend this physician at ALL. He is my mother's physician, and has zero percent humility for her as a patient. Two visits ago we had questions go unanswered, even AFTER mentioning that we needed to continue to speak with him to his "well qualified" nurse. I assumed she never told him, because he never came back into the room after rapidly exiting. I timed him in the room. Two whole minutes passed, an he left the room without saying a word of regard. Yes, I DID have a problem with this visit. Not only was he rude, and lacking common respect, but his staff reflected his unethical persona as well. I spoke with the nurse and explained calmly that my mother pays good money to get quality healthcare, especially coming from a Christus Spohn Hospital. I further explained I understood it was not her fault, and I was seriously considering that if Dr. Saaverda didn't want to see her for more time he was opted for, I would be more than happy to take our business and the care of… her health elsewhere. She responded with "He has a lot of patients, and was probably in a rush" Yeah... This woman was serious. The following visit, he remained in the room for 10 minutes explaining her results with some care, still lacking patience. Before he left, he stated that his time was up, and had to leave. I suppose bad responses travel faster than good. What does this really tell you about his, and his staff's ethics? Go back to school and read on that chapter.

Dr. Saavedra is a very caring doctor and seems very knowledgeable in his field of medecine. I was very impressed in how he treated me as a patient. I highly recommend him.
