He seen me very quickly at our first visit and understood everything I told him. He helped me and I think he's intelligent and had helped me alot. Thank you! I hope he never moves.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kalogjera's for well over 5 yrs now. I couldn't ask for a better psychiatrist. Dr. Kalogjera puts up with my "mood changes" and makes sure I am on the best meds that help me cope and he doesn't "over-drug" me. I still feel like myself. He is a good listener and will make you feel like you are his only patient. When I need to see him right away, he always makes time for me. He always offers water - which is nice...and gives me tasty chocolates at my visits. Bonus!!! :) I don't know what I would do if Dr. Kalogjera were to move away. I would be so lost. It would be EXTREMELY difficult to fill his shoes. So, please stay. Thank you Dr. Kalogjera for all that you do.

Dr. K. has been my psychiatrist for many years now. I couldn't ask for a better dr. He truly cares about my wellbeing. He is VERY flexible with his hours - especially when you need to see him as soon as possible. He goes out of his way to make sure you are seen when you're in a crisis. Dr. K. is also a great advocate. Whether it's regarding a medication that you need to be on or whether I need his input in regards to SSI/Disability. He will fight for you. If he cares about all of his patients like he cares about me, they should be extremely satisfied under his care. I can't see myself seeing a different psychiatrist!

I could say a lot of high brow words, weighty description, talk about all the awards and recognitions he's received-but the best way to tell you how outstanding he is, is for you to go and meet with him yourself. After talking with him it will become very apparent in a short time how talented he is and how wise it would of you to be in his care.

Dr. K. really takes the time to make sure you're doing ok & the meds you're on are the best for you. If a change needs to be made, he'll fix it. He is always available when you need him. He returns calls pretty promptly and there's never a wait when you are waiting to see him. I couldn't ask for a better psychiatrist.

After YEARS of failed treatment, Dr. Kalogjera was suggested to me. I had heard of him, heard great things about him, that he was the best. Upon meeting : I was immediately surprised that he had an exciting office full of imagination. He believed in me more than I believed in myself when I first met him! I had never met a psychiatrist who was competent to this extent, his understanding of different medicines, psychology and treatment is truly exact. Dr. Kalogjera has been the answer to my prayers. I was scared he would give me massive dosages, or I would turn into a zombie or become less me, or I would lose my dreams, that I would shrink my goals. Within WEEKS I was a miracle case. I did not lose my hope, or dreams, or self. I felt like I had put on my reading glasses for the first time. Understandably, to get someone's mind prescription correct requires a profound skill of understanding psychiatry, psychology and how to heal the personality. Dr Kalogjera is that extremely rare… composition of character, able to transform lives, and to apply psychiatry with a precision and continued encouragement that I have only previously dreamed existed. His understanding of different effects of medications is thorough. His knowledge of how to speak a patient through the process of healing, session by session, addressing any hiccups, is on point. The proof is in the pudding. Dr. Kalogjera definitely doesn't chuck medicine at people, or not listen to people. Dr Kalogjera is the first doctor who actually healed me. Patiently, and in a way that truly has empowered me. His approach involves validating a person, not as 'wrong' or 'broken' but rather as someone who with the right treatment will have a fantastic life. That is far different from saying 'you're sick.' The mental health problem is viewed as not defining of the person's character, and self. Dr. Kalogjera is healthy for the healing of the ego, something worth mentioning as seeking treatment for mental health can be difficult to interpret with self-acceptance and a doctor who has sensitivity is a great advantage. He has increased my self-insight and self-empathy. These are early days, but I no longer feel I have been wasting my life. I feel like I am a success for managing to survive that long without treatment, and now I feel more empowered than ever to achieve my goals. Obviously, I do a lot in my own time to feel better. I guess you could say, I cooperate with treatment. But the difference has been profound. Friends and colleagues have said I seem soothed, more myself, and I feel better than I ever dreamed I would. I had a severe manic episode and of course Dr. Kalogjera made time to see me off hours. After talking with him describing the horrible mania I was experiencing, he knew after less than 5 minutes what the problem was and he was right on target. He made a simple medication change and within 1 day my mood was in a normal range again. The man is just that good and he has a God given talent for psychiatry. I was so freaked out that my mania would not subside which made the mania all that much worse only to have him dismiss all my fears within minutes of seeing him. I have been thinking and I feel, in my opinion, that Dr. Kalogjera is really a "healer" and does so from the essence of the person and his heart. He cares genuinely, that I know from all the years I've had to privilege to be in his care. You won't find a doctor more compassionate and talented, much less a psychiatrist that can even come close to him in any area.

Dr. Kalogjera has been providing excellent care for my depression and anxiety for many years. I highly recommend him.
