What an Arrogant "Dr"! Poor reviews all over! He's way over his head! I do not recommend him. UM needs to take his attitude toward patients and staff seriously and so should you vitals!

After suffering for more than 15 yrs and haven seen many other Gastroenterologists, Dr. Paik gave me a diagnosis, and a treatment plan! He’s absolutely a wonderful doctor who’s on top of everything new in the Gastroenterology field. He’s very patient, caring and has a nice personality... easy to talk to as well! Kudos, Dr. Paik!

Someone should fire all of his staffs. I wonder if any of them graduated from high school. Never been to an office with so many mistakes. Dr.Paik is always well dressed. That plus his condescendente attitude makes it very uncomfortable around him.

The people that work in his office are VERY unprofessional. I have been waiting for a call back in response to test results for over two months. I have called and called and they never call me back. I get the run around every time I have called. One thing that they are on top of is billing me for the office visits and tests done. STOP stealing your patients money, Dr. Paik, and actually help them with their problems!!!!

I have been seeing Dr. Paik when he was in that little office on West End. The office management was a complete mess since day 1 of my visit. I figured I only see him once every year so why not. That was a huge mistake. Little do I know their office mistakes can pain me for months. Let me give you a few examples of how unprofessional, rude, and mismanaged this office is. They often couldn’t find or lost my lab report so always call in advance to make sure they have it. They changed my appointment numerous times even though I booked months in advance. Their front receptionists made so MANY unbelievable mistakes that could have easily been avoided. One of the receptionists pull up a different patient account and asked me to sign a bunch of documents without showing me what I was signing and I also ended up paying for that patient’s co-pay. After she realized her mistake she claimed we have similar last name. I was thinking you have to be at a whole new level of illiterate to claim an… Italian surname is similar to an Asian surname. The office manager Nubia Medina will conquer you with her voice and aggression if you ever criticize their mistakes. Try reaching their office? GOOD LUCK! You have to leave a message or go through layers and layers of transfer. I have been transferred to Children's hospital once which I thought with such premium service, it truly justifies our high health insurance cost. The only reason I stayed with him for this long was because of my job location.

This is absolutely, without any shadow of a doubt, the most chaotic and disorganized doctor's office in all of New York City. What other doctor's office is there, where you can literally call dozens of times and fall to be connected with a secretary?

I went to Dr. Paik for manometry and biofeedback on the suggestion of my colorectal doctor. Although I feel he knows his stuff, his bedside manner is much to be desiired. He doesn't seem to take me seriously when i ask him questions. Even more, I went to him to ask about to further explain some of the test results that i couldn't interpret. -He copped an attitude with me and made stupid accusations that I was questioning his diagnosis and his competency. He loves to boast that he is the only person in NY that does specialize testings. Most of this doctor's patients are seniors for he is primarily a geriatric gastroenterologist. Lucky for him most of them don't know how to use the internet to complain. I am not that old. In conclusion, for anybody reading this I suggest you seek help elsewhere. There are plenty of other qualified GI in nyc.
