Dr. Ira L Haimowitz, DO

Dr. Haimowitz is the best of the best. He answers all our questions and never rushes us. He takes the time to really listen to what is going on and never immediately jumps to antibiotics. I first me Dr. H when my daughter was just a newborn. She couldn’t keep her formula down. Another doctor wanted to prescribe meds for reflux. I went to see Dr. H. He said let’s just change the formula. No meds. And yes, it was that simple. Since then I will travel to whatever office he is in. Not only does he answer our questions, but will take the time to chat with the child as well. My daughter is 17 now - still love this Doctor!!

In my opinion, Dr. Haimowitz is man that discerns beyond the physical realm of his patient, my son. At birth my son was very ill medically speaking. We were told he would probably not walk nor talk due to the damage the brain bleed caused in womb. I was advised to find a doctor who had experience with children like this. When I took him to see Dr. Haimowitz he believed Ryan would be okay. Today my son is athletic and speaks. I am grateful that I have him as my son's doctor.

Dr. H is awesome. After seeing him, I'll only take my kids to a DO instead of an MD. He isn't quick to prescribe meds, he likes to take a "whole body" approach rather than try to fix one area.

I am very disappointed in my childs pediatrician. He does not take her disease seriously as well as a few of her other doctors. The disease is rare and other medical issues go hand in hand with it but the pedi does not want to accept that. I am in the process of getting my child to a specialist out of state who knows about the disease and one who can help her. At first he acted like he knew about it but in realitity he knows nothing about it and does not want to learn about it. This disease affects my child every single day and it IS a life threatening disease.
