Dr. Issac Paz, MD

He makes you feel welcome, answers questions, and has a lot of compassion, with a smile on his face that makes you feel warm. He is an excellent doctor and surgeon, in which, I would recommend highly. He loves what he does and that helps with a faster recovery. Thank you for what you have done for me.

I was referred to Dr. Paz by my regular doctor. I had an abscess that had to be drained at Urgent Care. My doctor told me that Dr. Paz would check my abscess to see if it would require surgery to keep a fistula from reoccuring. Initially, he was very pleasant and said it was too sore for him to check and he wanted me to come back at a later date. When I went in for the follow up a month later, Dr. Paz told me that my abscess was healed. When I asked about the pus still draining he said that the abscess was healed and that the drainage was "anal secretions". I was doubtful but he kept reassuring me. So when I got home I had my husband look, and sure enough the abscess was still there. Open. Not healed. With pus still draining. I can only speculate on why he would say my incision was healed when it was not. Perhaps it was because I requested a letter for my work and pressed them when they stalled on it and then dragged my feet picking it up when it was finally ready. Either… way, I cannot go back to him and would suggest that if you have him as your doctor, be very careful about what you say to him. One wrong word and you might get shoddy medical treatment. Scary. I'm going back to my regular doctor for a referral to a better surgeon.

I go into surgery end of this month with him

It's true Dr. Paz is always running late but that's because so many people want to see him. If he had an empty waiting room, I wouldn't want to go see him. I would wonder why. He is an excellent surgeon. Great bedside manner. Very caring. When he told me I had cancer, I will always remember how caring he was about it. It was a very difficult time and I'm very lucky I had Dr. Paz on my side.

Dr. made me feel comfortable talking to him and was good at explaining everything. He really knows what he is doing. Was difficult to get appt.

Dr. Paz is without question the most competent and compassionate surgical MD that I've ever encountered. When other doctors gave me little or nothing to hope for, like the calvary coming to the rescue, he saved my life and most of my functionality! Dr. Paz is the real deal!

Dr. I. Benjamin Paz is caring, kind, competent and appreciated. He is one of the very best doctors and a wonderful human being. I am fortunate and happy to be in his care.
