The first eye was blurry right off and never improved. The follow-up optician failed to take any responsibility for it. We paid an extra 1,000 for the astigmatism toric lense. She said it slipped or they didn't get the right correction in the lense. Why pay extra for something they don't do correctly?

I just had my cateract surgery and it has turned out better than I could have asked for! I would definitely recommend Dr. Krasin for any eye need!

Unhappy about my experience. Didn't make clear the degree to which cataract surgery was indicated. Later info certainly implied that I wasn't having enough vision problems that I needed it yet. He seemed hurried and not that interested in helping me understand. The informed consent piece was extremely inadequate, yes things that were real risks but rare and he had none of them happen in his years of practice. NOT discussed were things that are very real problems, like having vision AFTER surgery significantly WORSE than before. In the informed consent part he did say he couldn't guarantee my vision could be corrected to not need glasses. As I have had a prescription for a couple years that I have not filled with very minor corrections of my 20/25 distance vision as I really couldn't tell any difference in the eye test with or without correction; I assumed (my mistake) that he was indirectly telling me this might or might not be improved. The big problem was that the eye measurements… taken to determine which lens to put into my eye resulted in a lens that leaves me with worse vision that I had before. Quite unhappy. Follow up to determine what can be done (possibly with different MD) coming up sometime soon.

patients with excellent near vision are not the best candidates for restor lenses.you will lose your near vision. dr krassin should inform patients of risks.doctors within his own organization are less than enthusiastic about the 'sales' technique being used. please get a another opinion to get the whole story from a physician with the patients best interest in mind.
