Dr. Jacinto Del Mazo, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Del Mazo for 14 years. Even after I moved to another state I drive back for my appointments. His care and concern for patients is like no other doctors I have ever seen.

Such a genuine man. Very concerned and caring! He takes his time, and puts you at ease. I wish I could have him for every doctor needed!

I have no complaints concerning dr del mazo , i would see him again anywhere, but his nurse had no smile she looked very tired, she was suppose to get Me schedule for a needed a test , wasnt done and I called to speak to dr but couldn't very disappointed , I called several times to speak to dr but again I was told that the message would be given to the person that pulls the chart and then to his nurse, well there goes nothing another week of suffering

I live 45 minutes south of Atlanta, and had been trying doctors down here for years, to no avail. Terrible bedside manner, dirty offices, neglecting to prescribe the latest treatment - you name it, I've experienced it. I finally broke down and asked a friend to recommend a doctor in Atlanta - Dr. del Mazo, as luck would have it. He is just a fabulous human being. I can't say enough about him. He sits down and talks to you about any issues you're having, and seems to genuinely care about your answers. He takes in the mental as well as physical side of your complaints, and prescribes treatment based on both. On one occasion, I had an issue which required a surgical consultation. Dr. del Mazo set up the appointment personally, and I was able to see the surgeon about a half hour later - and the surgeon was terrific, too! I've never met a surgeon with such a great bedside manner. I will only go to doctors recommended by Dr. del Mazo from now on.

Great doctor's visit experience, will definitely use this doctor again. He wsa very knowledgeable and personable.

I picked J del M out of the yellow pages about twenty five years ago and cannot believe how lucky I got. I had a spot on my liver; he sent me to have an MRI (just to be safe) and even though I was seeing him the day after he got the results, he personally returned my call and told me the results (I didn't have any real problem). He then said "Sleep well tonight; I'll see you tomorrow." I can't imagine a more compassionate friend and doctor. He also referred me to a surgeon for another problem (Dr. Francis Owings) who turned out to be exellent, as well. I can't believe my good luck in finding J del M!

My overall experience has been outstanding. I would have loved to remain a patient of Dr. "D", but he does not accept Blue Choice POS Plan. I was a patient for more than 20 years and I would love to go back.

I have been going to Dr. D for over 15 years. He is a true family physician with the compassion of a European trained physican and a dual U.S. Board certified physician in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is fluent in English and Spanish. He had gotten me through some VERY difficult personal times with deaths in my family and personal illnesses. He is friendly, but formal and always reflects the highest concern for his patients. This filters down to his entire staff whom I have gotten to know on a first name basis. Dr. D is the only physician I know who returns telephone calls personally on the day you call him, and will follow up after every procedure, ie colonoscopy, on the day it is performed. He is a really good listener, and gives to each patient what he or she needs. He probably doesn't charge what he is worth, but he is a credit to the profession, and the highest complement I can pay him is to say that if someone had to tell me that I have a terminal disease, I want it… to be him, because I will know that EVERYTHING had or will be done to help me. Everyone I have sent to him has been impressed, and he is the best Crawford Long has to offer.
