Dr. Jahangir Maleki

I am not sure how anyone thinks this man is competent. He is the worst doctor I have ever seen in my life. He told me that all that is wrong with me is that I have bad posture, need to do biofeedback and I will be fine. It’s interesting to see reviews from others who got the exact same treatment recommendations, apparently there is an epidemic of bad posture and a high need for biofeedback! He also tried to push pain meds, which I refused. At that point, he had even less interest in me. He was rude, condescending, told me that I don’t actually have the symptoms that I have and that other doctors have documented and observed.

After 6 years of chronic migraines/joint pain/fatigue and an entire life of "random" issues, I finally hit a breaking point and was hospitalized with stroke like symptoms. I had seen doctor after doctor, medication after medication, all with no relief or answer to the cause. After a while, the doctors just told me I needed to relax more and that I was "too stressed out". We are a 3.5 hour drive away from Cleveland, and it was worth every minute of travel. I walked through my symptoms with Dr. Maleki, and within 20 minutes he was able to diagnosis not one but two issues that were causing my pain. For the first time in SIX YEARS I went headache free. He listened to me, he did exams that no one else ever had, he spent an hour and a half walking through them in detail, and showed me the exercises I could do at home to resolve my symptoms. All without medication or surgery - just learning to repair my body. I'd been doing damage to myself my entire life and wasn't even aware of it.… I'd been in pain for so many years, I had started to forget what "normal" was but now, I'm working towards resolving my symptoms and relearning how to listen to my body to PREVENT symptoms in the future. Getting a diagnosis (or two in my case) has lifted a weight off of me I didn't know I was carrying, being heard matters... I am forever grateful for Dr. Maleki.

I have two herniated disc in my neck and he suggested I ride a bike and have good posture and that should help it a lot and that it wasn't that serious. Meanwhile I can't even swallow food and I've lost 11 lb in under a month due to not being able to swallow food from the herniation in my neck. Refuses to order an MRI. Extremely unprofessional interrupted me multiple times as I was speaking. Tried to tell me he knows more than a doctor that specializes in my myofascial . This man should not be practicing in medicine he has no compassion or consideration. Did not make any recommendations for the herniated disc other than to ride a bike. I was in this man's care for a year and my problem only got worse and he did nothing about it. he does not care about us and he will let you remain in pain .I would not recommend coming here whatsoever. hopefully you see this so you don't end up not being able to swallow solid foods too. seek your help elsewhere he will not help you.

I have been working in health care for over 25 years. The way our healthcare system works is to bandaide health issues with prescriptions and not address the root problem. Dr Maleki addresses the cause of the pain/issue and starts there. He is absolutely amazing and spent over an hour just talking with my husband and showing him X-rays so he could be an active participant in his recovery.

Dr. Maleki came highly recommended to me by a neurologist from a leading neurosurgery and spinal institute. After 2.5 years of being passed around from specialist to specialist, Dr. Maleki accurately diagnosed my condition in less than an hour. He listened to my story and symptoms, and then he reviewed my MRIs with me. For the first time in years I was given hope of total healing and restoration. All of the neurosurgeons and pain specialists (6 total) that I had seen in the past wanted to operate on me, plant a spinal cord stimulator, give nerve blocks, and prescribe medications that completely debilitated me. Then I was told my condition was permanent and there was nothing more that could be done to heal my nervous system. Chronic, intense pain had spread to other limbs and was beginning to affect organs. My quality of life dwindled to where I was a shell of my previous self. Dr. Maleki gave me a path forward that did not immediately include surgeries, but rather one that focused on… targeted therapy that is teaching me how to change my present way of life to allow my physical body and mind to heal. Is it working? YES! Is it hard? YES! Is there hope and healing? YES! The referring doctor told me that Dr. Maleki was at the very top of his class and highly researched in the field of neurology. He said that if I were his family member he would most definitely send me to Dr Maleki because there is no one better to treat me. Taking the first step was intimidating, but it was worth every investment made.

will not listen to you. i got a 2nd opinion who agreed with me that I needed an MRI, unlike him. i had a cyst. he spoke over me, was confusing, and dismissed my claims as I just needed to exercise. insane.

Condescending, ignores messages

Dr Maleki was a God Send to me and my health. When I first went to see him, I was not able to walk, stand or care for myself. I have reflex sympathetic dystrophy. It took many years of intensive treatment because my case was so complicated. Now I live in Central Florida, the rsd and now fibro is raging in my body and is out of control. My pain dr here in Florida does not shine a mear light to Dr Maleki. In my personal and professional (I was a critical care nurse)opinion, Dr Janigar Maleki is top in his field of practice. If I had the finances I would return to PA to get better. I was in a wheelchair for 51/2 yrs and Dr Maleki and his treatment got me out of it. Now I was told I will be back in a wheelchair within a year. Having the medical health issues and being treated by Dr Maleki, has given me the insight to return to college. I am currently pursuing a degree in psychology, with the long term goal of obtaining a Ph.D. in neuropsychology and helping people with chronic pain… syndromes and diseases. I give credit to Dr Janigar Maleki for all of my professional pursuits and for giving me my life back. I so wish he was still my physician, I trust him completely. There are not enough words to convey the dedication he has to his patients, I wish he was here in Central Florida, because if he was I know without a doubt I would not be in the health situation I am now in. Excellent is not a high enough score for him He is a superior physcian.I know He was my physician for 6 years, my care and treatment superior, was able to get out of the wheelchair, walk again, My neurological pain management in Central Flordia is inferior and I am regressing daily. Anyone who has Dr Maleki for their physician should count their blessings

As a main contributor for evaluation and care dealing with patients enrolled with The Cleveland Clinic's Chronic Pain Center, Dr. Maleki was liked by all. He meets with knowledge not common to most doctors. He is highly educated, compassionate, and respectful. I highly recommend this doctor.

DR. Maleki is the most engagingand caring doctor I have ever seen. He is very meticulous andknowlegable. Dr. Maleki has been a blessing to me!!! You are the best Dr. Maleki!!!
