Dr. Jaime Gomez, MD

After reading a review I guess this is a common problem with this office. I did see the DR once he ordered some labs and wanted me to do some test so he could better know whats going on. The Dr informed me that my insurance would cover most. When i went to schedule the girl in front who does the medical billing informed me it would roughly be $1000.00 for all. My insurance covers diagnostic before deductible with a 25% co pay. I was told by her i didn't know what i WAS TALKING ABOUT BASICALLY CALLED A LIAR SEVERAL TIMES DURING CONVERSATION. I even printed my policy and she wouldn't even care to look at it. I got the codes called my insurance. And yes there is a 25% co pay before deductible is met. I also told her i am like $400.00 away from meeting total deductible anyway. She said I would have to pay. She said I would have to pay and if there was any over payment there would be no refund. A Dr is only as good as his staff. Even after talking to her in person in regards to this she… again said i had no idea what i was talking about. So went back to my regular cardiologist in Harlingen having all done and checked out and yes all was almost covered. Only one needed pre auth the girl told me all five needed pre auth. So basically she claims to know more about the insurance company than the insurance company LOLOLOL. The Dr seems very professional he did a cath on my mom and saved her in the ER while having a heart attack. Was looking for a Dr in Brownsville that is why I choose this one. be careful because his billing department is really messed up.

Dr. Gomez helped us in the hospital with my Mom's condition. he was able to find ways of helping us understand her illness and assist in explaining these to her. I loved the fact he worked with Dr.Fadi Alfayoumi before and had the good rapport with the family and other colleagues.
