Dr. James Jamal Aria, MD

This man saved my life at age 26 after I was dying from thyroid surgery. He was my gynecologist at the time. I was working three jobs seven days a week. A poor refugee from Iran. He took it upon himself to try to get me to NIH so they can figure out all the complications I had. I almost died twice. He called for an entire week to get me admitted there. He watched over me during my second pregnancy and always encouraged me not to give up. Dr Aria I hope you read this. I moved to Arizona since 1996. I’m alive and well and my son you help me with is 26 yrs old. I owe you my life and been praying for you and your family every night since 1989. I am new to the local area. It took me 3 yrs of not being seen by a specialist because not every doctor has a good bedside manner. Dr. Aria is exceptional and thorough. He walked me through the entire process, offered me different options and educated myself the pros & cons of everything. I never had to wait more than 5 min to be seen by the doctor and gives you his undivided attention while in the room with you. Truly in a league of his own!

Dr. James Aria and his nurse assistant have been extremely nice, helpful, and caring throughout my journey with infertility. His expertise and experience are noteworthy.

I dont know the lady that wrote the Google review, but we have very different views. I have been with Dr. Aria for over 30 years. I was very young when I started to come to his office on King Street. He delivered both my children which are now 34 and 28. He is so very thorough and answers all my questions and then some. he directs me to have further analysis if he feels it is necessary. I will feel sad should he decide to actually retire. He stopped practicing and went to his country to teach and then came back to his practice. I was happy to find him again. My opinion of Dr. Aria is that they broke the mold when it comes to great care and time he takes with his patients. He and his "side-kick" Arial are a true team and I think if your review is negative with him then there must be a piece of your story that has not been told. He is a wonderful Dr. and person and I recommend him to any and everyone.

I went to Dr. Aria for 5 years. I consistently had problems with my insurance, because of the way he submits my information. Even though my insurance does not require a co-pay, his office always made me pay $35. He insists that I have an appointment every 6 months (for no particular reason). He started only giving me my birth control prescription for 6 months as well. I would not recommend him as a gynecologist. It seemed as if he had his own interest for profit in mind rather than my health.

Dr. James Aria does not read notes from previous visits - possibly there are none. He never disclosed any results of lab analysis despite my requests. He does not remember what diagnose he made last time and why I am here. In fact, he gave me wrong diagnose of prescription of clomid and told me that I can take this medicine more than 6 times (6 times is a number recommended by FDA). Also, he said that there are not side effects of clomid what is not true I read FDAs reports and analysis of this medicine from other countries and they all clearly states that overdoses of clomid leads to thyroid problems. He also gave an hour lecture of disappointment of not being pregnant the last thing to hear and motive women. He mentioned few times of additional analysis that I need to go through but never gave prescription. In few words: Dr. James Aria is very unprofessional, unknowledgeable and with very poor communication skills
