Dr. Jamee H Steen, MD

Dr. Steen is an excellent physician. She never rushes me through the appointment and always makes sure I am satisfied. I have cried and laughed with her and she is a comforting friend.

Do not recommend James steen as a doctor. She has no empathy for patients. As soon as we first met her the impression that I got was she was cold hearted and did not want to be my mothers doctor. A doctor is supposed to make the patient comfortable. That did not happen. It was hard enough to get my mother to go see a doctor .. never mind when having Someone say to you “ I don’t know what it is you are looking for “. Jamee steen just crushed what little hope that my mother had left. She couldn’t make it to a couple of doctors appointments because of the physical pain she was in. And steen did NOT give her any pain medicine to help the pain. .. so how was my mom supposed to make it out of the house to all the doctor appointments with no help of any pain medicine. Sad to see a doctor treat a patient this way. She discharged my mom. Steen gets too overwhelmed with her job. And I Personally think she did not want to care for my mom. HEARTLESSs

Jamie fit my daughters in for an appointment when they needed sports physicals. She was great as the first internist after growing out of their pediatrician

I have seen her twice, the first time I was not impressed, but she wasn’t too bad. The second time just recently, I was very rushed, more so than the average rushed appointments you generally get with MDs. Her bedside manner left much to be desired, and she did not discuss any health issues I brought up with her. When she left the exam room for the nurse to draw my blood, I throughly she was coming back because she had not given me a chance to discuss anything. I have asthma, and was having very minor wheezing that day, and she listened to my lungs, but said nothing. I had to call back the next day to request my inhaler prescription. I also had to call multiple times for my bloodwork results. My expectations for doctors in the Columbia area is already pretty low, but she dropped the bar down to the ground.

Does not practice internal medicine. Refuses to prescribe basic medications. Instead refers you out to a specialist for everything. Now I have to keep up with going to a specialist so I can get regular prescribed nonaddictive meds for allergies, sinus infections and eczema. Only wants simple cases and is condescending whenever you try to communicate with her or her nurse. Never had a physician this bad. Now she doesn't work Fridays but doesn't inform you. Very hard to get in to see her. Nurses take forever to call you back.

Great Doctor, My mother In law just loves the concern she showed her on her first appointment.
