Arrogant disorganized and misdiagnosed me

Unprofessional. Seems races. Thinks I am lying about my pain. Dr. Walks around in tight cloths with chest hair hanging out. I went there for workers compensation for my injured knee. Showed up the day of my surgery and they told me the Dr. Cancled it because he couldn't get ahold of me the day before surgery.. THE DR. COULD NOT GET AHOLD OF ME BECAUSE MY PHONE WAS TURNED OFF DO TO NOT HAVING MONEY! WHICH IS WHY I WAS THERE FOR WORK COMPENSATION!! I already explained this prior to the Dr. I had to use the last of my dollars for gas that day. Ok so I tried to make another appointment asap because I am in pain and need to get back on my feet to provide for my family and these people told me they have have no dates to give me! My lawyer also calls me to tell me that, not having the surgery before my court date might affect my case.. thank you for a waist of time, resources, and energy. Horrible place is destroying my life

Dr. Shaffer was very professional and thorough explaining my knee surgery. I felt very comfortable with him. Surgery was successful and although I didn't enjoy therapy, the end result is great. No pain.

I felt like Dr Shaffer respected me as a decision maker. He made me feel like I was a partner in the decision making process I ended up having a total shoulder surgery at The Surgical Institute of Reading where I felt like I was on holiday instead of a patient I have never had such a positive medical experience

Great experience. He helped my daughter with a ** shoulder injury, she is a pitcher so it was crucial to get her better without any side effects. She was seen quickly and he was great with not only her but with my three boys who came to the visit also.

I went in for elbow pain, and Dr. Shaffer listened to my symptoms and confirmed 'tennis elbow'. He gave me several suggestions to heal the my elbow, even going as far to say that surgery was always a last option. He suggested OT and maybe a shot if the OT didn't jump start the recovery process. After several months of OT, and one shot, I can happily report my elbow is fine.

Dr. Schaffer went above and beyond in the treatment of my sons injury. He took the time to explain not only the injury but the treatment to myself but most importantly to my 11 year old son. His knowledge and skill was well beyond any I have encountered in our town. We are very sad he and his family moved.

I saw Dr. Shaffer as a follow up to a fall I took. He was very thorough and made me feel very comfortable. His demeanor was professional and courteous and his office staff was helpful.

He spent over 30 minutes with me explaining through diagrams and question and answers what my problem was and coming up with a treatment plan. At a follow up visit we elected to do surgery because the physical therapy that was perscribed was making me feel better in the short term it was not repairing the problem. I am able to put my dishes away again, play with my nephew, and play tennis thank you to the repair preformed by Dr. Shaffer. I never felt that any of my questions annoyed him, as I have felt that way in the past with other physicians. Very kind and professional

Initially went for second opinion, but felt more comfortable with Dr. Shaffer's exam and overall bedside manner. Surgery on left knee went smoothly. Therapy difficult at first but am pleased with overall success. Turned out not to be a terrible as I expected. Would recommend Dr. Shaffer.
