Dr. James Allen Coman, MD

I would NOT recommend this man! His patient relation skills are horrible. He attempted an ablation on me, failed and claimed he was successful. He actually damaged my AV node while leaving my accessory pathway intact. Either he lied to me or was ignorant of his mistake. He tried a second time, aborted the attempt and I never heard from him or his office again after the procedure. I had to go to OU Medical center to get a pacemaker.

I was referred to Dr Coman from my pcp for my SVT rhythms. After years of multiple cardiologists playing roulette with my medications (none working), I got the pleasure of meeting Dr Coman and PA Thomas. One in office visit with a halter monitor, and a visit from them while i was admitted at St Francis, he had my SVT under control without ablation!!! He and PA Thomas explained in full detail my diagnosis, and how it could be treated. They gave me the option to plan my care! There was no take this pill and call back in a month like the many other doctors I had seen. They went above and beyond for me. And for that I am forever grateful to him and the staff at Heart Rhythm Institute!!

My husband is the patient of DR Coman's and we are blessed to have him , he was referred to us by the heart Dr out of Bartlesville and said we needed to make this apt happen even if our ins was out of net , and we did just that . His office got him in quickly and the surgery he had was schd within the week , DR Coman is fabulous and spent every minute we needed with us telling us and showing us what we needed and what options we had leaving the final decision up to us, my husband is 95 % better and the 3 month prior to seeing Dr Coman we were sure he would not pull through this time with his heart , my husband took 17 hits on his pacemaker within 2 hours and it just got worse from there. We can not thank Dr Coman and his wonderful staff enough for making us a priority and getting us in so quick. I believe its because of him that I still have my husband today!!!

I'd recommend Dr. Coman. He even drew a picture for me so my tiny lawyer brain could understand what he was talking about. Glad he treated me.

I have never been treated so bad by a dr in my life he has no business dealing with patients I'm sorry but you do NOT ever tell someone who you just cut open to shut up stop crying and act your age I will be filling a report with the medical bord he needs a refresher course in bed side manor .... His office staff is rude and act as if you should know everything with out a pre op appointment or any kind of instruction also they lie to your family and will not tell you what is going on

He performed my third procedure only to have the same symptoms come back two years later.

Although Dr. Coman is a specialist, he still took all the time I needed in the office to explain my condition and my options. I had seen several doctors over the past 8 years but none could diagnose my problem. Dr. Coman figured my problem out immediately and within a week I was cured. I am so impressed by his office staff and his bedside manner. Very few specialists will take this much time with you. Getting an appointment with him was also very easy.

Dr. Coman performed a surgery that doctors in Philadelphia had been afraid to try. He has been competent, caring and an excellent communicator. He has answered any questions I have and taken as much time as I have needed to feel comfortable. I would recommend him to anyone!

I waited in his office for over an hour. When he came in to see me he was pompous and rude. He acted like I did not know anything about my own body. I would never recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Coman was fabulous during our initial visit and through my husband's hospitalization. When my husband had a severe reaction to the meds, I called Dr. Coman on a Saturday, and his exact words were "Well, what do you want me to do about it?". I took my husband to the ER, and Dr. Coman was called by the attending physician. He was greatly annoyed and we could hear him yelling over the phone in the cardiac care room. I was flabbergasted. Needless to say, we're switching doctors.
