Dr Kelly was very attentive to my problem regarding my rotator cuff tears and gave me options with emphasis on the more conservative treatment plan. Given the history provided i decided to go with that choice with reassurance I could choose surgery at a later date. He was both kind and very professional during the time I spent with him.

I am surprised by how little pain I am in after a complete shoulder replacement. Friends who’ve had shoulder surgery have told me about the amount (and the long duration) of their pain. I keep waiting to experience that pain, but it’s never come. I was off the narcotics within a day or two. I’ve only used OTC NSAIDs thereafter. After two weeks, I’m already able to do light computer work so long as I keep proper posture. Immediately before the start of the surgery, Dr. Kelly showed me how he had game planned my surgery in advance based on my MRI. Dr. Kelly is amazing. Highly recommended.

I have been seeing Dr. Kelly for over a year for my shoulder. We tried cortisone shots first, and now I am scheduled for shoulder surgery next week. Dr. Kelly is very professional, thorough and patient.

Very personalble, knowledgeable, did my reverse shoulder surgery an went EXTREAMELY WELL I HAVE 95 % recovered range of motion. Just fornomical!!!! An i was 68yrs at time.

I was referred to Dr. Kelly by another orthopedist, and by my neighbor, a physical therapist. I had hoped the Dr. Kelly would offer something other than a reverse total shoulder replacement; however, that is what all three of them agreed that I needed. Dr. Kelly and his assistant surgeon are extremely talented; and the staff— nurses, physical therapist, and occupational therapist— worked seamlessly to ensure I had an excellent experience. I was given a 48 hour block, which meant that I did not have any discomfort in my left upper extremity until after the anesthetic effect had dissipated. Even then, I could manage all of my postoperative pain with over-the-counter medication.. Additionally, my physical therapist is very pleased with my progress. I can wholeheartedly suggest Dr. Kelly and the Bernal Heights joint replacement hospital to anyone who requires a reverse total shoulder replacement.

Excellent physician, excellent “bed-side” manners. Dr. Kelly listens to your concerns and does not rush. Unlike some orthopedists, he recommend conservative treatments first and doesn’t rush to perform surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Kelly!!

I am an older gal so it was refreshing to have doctor Kelley read my MRI without asking me to replace my shoulder. He explained that the shoulder had problems but when he examined me after a fall, He told me that the pain that I was now experiencing was not from the damaged shoulder but from the fall. He gave me a cortisone shot and asked questions about where the pain was and put it perfectly into the right place. I am not kidding... the pain went away totally and now I am working with the PT pilates person and aerobic coach to build strength and flexibility. I am totally grateful for dr Kelley.

Dr. Kelly performed my partial shoulder replacement a year ago. His consultation before the procedure and the clarity he provided me about the procedure and what to expect during recovery was AMAZING! I’m so grateful for Dr. Kelly and his team.
