Dr. James Frederick Frommer, DO

I am the caregiver for my neighbor who is currently living with a cancer diagnosis from Dr. Frommer. He was not empathetic through any of the events leading up to the diagnosis. Four months after extensive chemotherapy and other treatments, this Dr. sends her a letter to inform her that he will longer be her ‘pcp’ and she will need to find a new one within 30 days. This was due to her not calling to schedule an appointment with him. (Not that she missed an appointment.) Give me a break! How about a friendly reminder that unless an appointment isn’t scheduled within a timely manner, perhaps 6 months, then service may be terminated. This so-called doctor just gut punched a cancer patient when, at this point, the doctors in their lives currently are life support. How dare Dr. Frommer? This Dr. does not belong with the other outstanding Doctors and PA’s that work at Cove Medical. Roaring Spring is fortunate to have this group minus Frommer. Dr. Frommer, you are not a man of compassion,… empathy, nor trust. You are only a medicine man and it takes more than that to be a great doctor.

I wish I had the time to type the entire incident, but I don't. So long story short Dr Frommer told me I needed surgery right away and that he could get me in with his brother-in-law who was a surgeon. I couldn't believe my ears. I had already been diagnosed by another doctor who told me that I did not need any surgery, and that my medical issue could be cured by physical therapy. That was my first indication that Dr. Frommer was a quack doctor who was out to get every penny he could. There were other incidents with Frommer. I kept going to him because I thought maybe I was wrong about him, so I thought I would give him another chance. WHOA. This time when I went to him, he asked me again about getting the surgery and I told him no thanks. He became livid...he yelled, and told me the visit was over and that I should leave NOW!! Well, he didn't have to tell me twice! I left out of that office as fast as my legs could take me! DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN.

Dr. Frommer is very thorough and listens to your issues!

Dr Frommer is a great physician! I saw him for an initial appointment, I left my last Dr’s practice because I was no longer being seen by the Physician, they were always making me be seen by a PA or CRNP....and truth be told, there are times when their limited training shows. Regardless the need for more medical clinicians, nobody knows medicine like a Physician. I had seen a CRNP 4 times for the same thing, and nothing he prescribed helped any. Dr Frommer listened to me and came up with a whole different diagnosis, and started the treatment. After months of being treated for the wrong thing I was relieved to finally get my health back.

Dr Frommer is a kind caring person. He has a great knowledge of my Parkinson problem. I trust and respect him.

I miss him he knows how to be kind to seniors and answers all questions.

I was to see Dr. Frommer today in the office---I was a patient of Dr. Gray and Dr. Frommer took over about four months ago. I was on numerous blood pressure medications for years without good control. He noted this and felt it was appropriate to get more testing and a referral to a kidney specialist who along with Dr. Frommer was able to get my blood pressure to a level it has never been before. He is truly a compassionate physician and is very outgoing and caring-I would refer anyone to see him. He is what a Family Physician should be.

I was a patient of Dr. Frommer's since the inception of his practice. I did so at the advice of Dr. Burger from whom he took over the practice. While it is eady to get an appointment and waiting time is minimal, I have no confidence that he understands medicine as he should. I reviewed my records and he alternately indicated I had either Becker's or Duschenne's muscular dystrophy. There is a big difference. I postponed an appointment because I had to see a specialist for my dystrophy and his staff said they would indicate I refused an appointment, which I didn't. All around this is a very unprofessional medical practice.

I went to Dr. Frommer for my severe elbow pain. He diagnosed the problem in his office without all the X-Rays, MRI's, etc. Provided me with options and put together a plan for recovery. I opted for the Platlet Rich Plasma (PRP). In a 45 minute office visit and about 4 months of limited sporting activity he took care of my elbow pain. Super Doctor!
