Dr. James Theodore Lainiotis, MD

I don’t even know where to start – My 85-year-old mother and father have been patients for 20 years. Something over the last two years drastically changed this practice for the worse. Ask yourself a question; Would you rather have a Dr. that doesn’t care, or a staff that doesn’t care? I would say staff because they don’t own the practice and never took an oath to care! Either way – NEITHER CARES. My mother was scheduled for a 9:00 am physical and believed she had a 9:30 appointment and showed at that time. The receptionist told her she was late for her 9:00 appointment and they couldn’t take her and she had to reschedule AND SENT HER HOME! Who does this to an 85-year-old woman and for the record, my mother has a better memory than I do – It was a 9am appointment and NOT ONE PATIENT was even in the office! Needless to say, she found a new doctor that actually cares and a staff that is kind and thoughtful and wants to show up to work.

Dr. L is a thorough and patient doctor. He listens to all concerns, addresses them and is always courteous and kind. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Lainiotis has been my regular doctor for almost 30 years. I can say that over that time, he has given me excellent care, and for a patient who asks a lot of questions, he is well versed, keeps abreast of the latest advances in treatments, and has always engaged me as a "partner" in my own treatment. I generally follow a doctor's directions only after I fully understand a diagnosis, the full anticipated effects (and possible side-effects) of a treatment, what the treatment alternatives are, and why he feels a particular treatment is appropriate. I've found Dr. Lainiotis addresses my questions and concerns with thoughtful, honest, and professional answers. He has also provided great suggestions to head off potential problems BEFORE they occur, especially with respect to lifestyle effects on health (ex. diet, smoking, exercise, stress reduction), separating known fact from "speculation" and the downright "bad". He has been instrumental in treating, or arranging treatment (via… specialists), for a lifetime of medical episodes, some serious (cancer, nerve reattachment), and some less so (colds, flus, pneumonia). On the occasions when my condition warranted a specialist, he has referred me quickly, and I can say that of the several that he has sent me to over the years, they have generally been excellent. I imagine that to be a testament to his lifetime of medical practice in developing his network of associations. Had one specialist not caught my case of cancer, I don't know if I would be here to write this review. His office staff (appointments, insurance, etc.) I've also found his office staff to be friendly and helpful.

Dr Lainiotis saved my life in 1994. When other doctor's were unable to diagnose a rare disease, (Wegeners Granulomatosis) Dr Lainiotis was able to identify it, and refer me to a top specialist in the field. If it had not been for Dr Lainiotis investigation, determination, and patient care, I would not be enjoying life and my family today. I really appreciate the care that Dr. Lainiotis gave me. My only regret is that I had to move too far away to be his patient. I highly recommend Dr. Lainiotis to everyone, you will be very satisfied!
