Dr. James Arthur Lugg JR., MD

Ater numerous pre-operative tests I was still mis-diagnosed. What was thought to be a cyst on my kidney turned out to be an AVM and I lost a perfectly good kidney and almost lost my life. I would go to Denver before I would let Lugg operate on anyone.. Bad experience for me. Beware!

Dr. James Lugg has been my urologist for several years. I have found him to be caring, compassionate and extremely competent. His office and nursing staff are equally exemplary. My questions and concerns are answered in terms I can understand. The treatments I have received have been wildly successful. Cheyenne Urological and Dr. Lugg are the greatest!

Dr. Lugg and his staff were excellent. He was able to do a procedure that has relieved me of the need to urinate every two hours at night. His Nurse Assistant was excellent. She is very knowledgeable, skilled and has a great of sense of humor.

I had a mass on my left adrenal gland. I was referred to Dr Lugg by my primary care doc. Dr Lugg did as much investigation as necessary and then scheduled me for laproscopic surgery to remove the mass. He thought (and I'm glad) that the laproscopic was better than cutting me wide open. It went fantastic. I was SO glad I was in and out of the hospital in 2.5 days rather than 4-5 or more for the "standard" surgery. His talents are great. He's a no nonsense kind of guy who isn't going to sugar coat your situation or what you need for treatment. It was great to talk to someone like that. VERY SATISFIED!! If I had to do it again, I'd be happy to let Dr Lugg work on me again. He cares about what is best for the patient.

I was looking for a urologist as I suspected I had prostate problems. I had done some research which indicated the best outcomes were with surgery performed by laser surgery. After I was examined by Dr. Lugg he confirmed that I needed surgery on my prostate and told me he would use HOLEP Laser Surgery . My surgery was successful and I am now on the road to recovery. I am extremely lucky that we have such a qualified urologist as Dr. Lugg here in Cheyenne. I recommend him very highly and without reservation.

I had prostrate surgery in 2014. Dr. Lugg was the surgeon. In the preliminary visits I never waited more than 10 minutes. The surgery went extremely well. He checked on my condition regularly for a month. I just finished my six-month exam. Everything is proceeding well. I have none of the anticipated side effects (blood, leakage, loss of function). If I had to do a rerun, I would choose Dr. James Lugg.

Poor communication. Diagnosis was wrong. Still having problems. Was scheduled for follow up. Called to confirm appointment. Office said I wasn't in the system to see Dr. Lugg. Office personnel did find out they had scheduled my follow up with a PA despite asking me!! Thank goodness I called before traveling over 100+ miles one way!! Thought I was going to a specialist! Check your EBO. They over-billed me. Good thing I review my bills. Very disappointed. Do not recommend at all!!

I am a visitor to Cheyenne, who happened to get sick and need a doctor. My husband took me to an emergency clinic and when they realized I was very sick they transported me to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. It was discovered I had a kidney stone that could not be passed. They referred me to Dr. James Lugg. Even after a long day in surgery he took time to see me before he went home for the day. His manner put me at ease with my kidney stone. It is very rewarding to find a doctor who knows his stuff and cares for his patients.

I was extremely impressed with doc luggs Credentials, with how personable be is, that it is not hard to get an appt at all. He explains everything that's going on and what steps are next, he laughs, makes you feel welcome he is a fantastic doc I would not go anywhere else ever.

I had a very difficult nephrectomy and Dr. Lugg was able to remove the whole tumor after a very long surgery. He has been very caring with all the follow up that has been needed. I would recommend him to anyone who has an urological problem. 5 star rating!
