Been a patient for several years. His patient care has declined. He treated me poorly at my last appointment. Complained about how busy he was and did not address my concerns.

Dr. MacLaren is a compassionate doctor who treats you as a whole person, not a number, not a statistic. He was my dr for 15+ years before I left the area. I wish I could find a doctor as well-rounded and knowledgeable as him in my new location

He's knowledgeable and gives me straight information when I ask for it. Makes notes during visit, in his little laptop, which bothered me at first....I thought maybe he wasn't listening to me. But he was listening, I've discovered over time and he has helped me through some tough conditions.

Gave me lisinopril and after various compliants on my part of a horrible dry cough he did not change it. Advised me to take OTC antacid medications that would have poisoned my kidnesy becuz iam a diabetic. Then last but not least he prescribed me too much insulin and I was having severe lows. All this was later on adjusted by another doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr MacLaren's for 10 years and have found him to be a very compassionate and knowledgable physician. I keep track of my lab tests and have had no problem getting copies when I ask for them. With Dr MacLaren's help, I'm losing weight and gaining more control over my diabates. Thanks Doc!

I asked for copies of my blood work and he didn't want to give them to me. But he gave in and I took them home to look at them. Saw several thins that were 'out of range' and looked them up on Internet. When I went back to see the doctor, I asked questions regarding my results and my research. He said that is why he didn't like patients getting copies of lab work. And he said 'that's why I'm the doctor and you are the patient'. He seems to truly resent any questions and treats me dismissively. This has happened a lot in the past and is getting worse. He doesn't remember much about me even though I've been his patient for over 15 years. I'm finally done with him!
