Dr. James Antonio Matas, MD

This doctor is extremely rude, unprofessional, and projects a very negative inexperienced demeanor. Dr. Mantas is in no way attuned to todays millennial Plastic Surgery procedures. He doesn’t even know what the facility’s own website publishes & promotes. He picks and chooses his services. It is the full responsibility as a certified plastic surgeon servicing consumers to substantiate what he publishes and deliver professional guidance on available options to help you look and feel your best. He epically fails at these functions. Beware.

I went to Dr. Matas to inquire about getting Permanent Lip Implants as he is one of the few surgeons that actually advertises the procedure on their website. When he walked in the room and took a look at me; he said, “you don’t need it.” In today’s World, “who does that? After further examining my lips he talked me completely out of the procedure and we did some filler instead; which he expertly injected. Normally, I would probably just go find another doctor. But, after showing me pictures of previous Lip Implant surgeries he has performed and stating that he didn’t want to take my money just to take it; I knew that he advice and judgment was sound and I should just listen. I have seen many negative reviews of this surgeon all over the Internet. But, for the life of me; I don’t know why? Some people are just not happy no matter where they go I guess? I however would highly recommend Dr. James Matas. Thank You Dr. Matas.

Avoid Dr. Matas at all costs. He is a disgrace to the Orlando medical community. There are no positive qualities about this man. He is indecent and arrogant to his clients and staff. Please consider this review when choosing someone to trust for any kind of procedure. I know I am not alone in saying it was truly disgusting to “consult” with Matas. I was berated and belittled in my consultation. When I expressed my discomfort with his behavior and language, Matas left the room entirely. It is disappointing and inexcusable that he hides behind an MD to defend any of his behavior and complete lack of professionalism. The only redeeming thought I had after my consultation was the hope that Matas, 69, should be retiring soon.

Dr. Matas and his team were AMAZING!! They were very understanding and caring with my needs. Would recommend them to anyone that is looking for a plastic surgeon!

Dr Matas is absolutely incredible!!! From my 1st consultation all the way through post op appointments he has been honest up front. He gave me the exact results I've always dreamed of, an increase in breast size that look natural and fit my body like a glove! I would recommend him to anyone in a heart beat! The office and staff are professional well kept and amazing as well. Everyone communicates so well and truly wants you to achieve the results you seek. I wouldn't go to anyone else. Went to him for botox and days later I looked worse than when I walked in. Contacted his office and was told he couldn't do anything and didn't want to see me. Otherwise, he didn't care. Take your money somewhere else.

Dr. Matas and his staff took the time to answer all my questions and were very thorough with their explanations. I felt he came up with a surgical plan that fit my body type individually and I'm super happy with the results! I would recommend him again and again!

My experience with Dr. Matas was nothing less than five stars from the first consultation through post surgery. I am very happy with the final results and it has totally changed my life for the better. Dr. Matas was thorough in explaining my procedure at the outset so that I completely understood what to expect from start to finish. Barbie is wonderful and attentive.
