Dr. Muldowney is absolutely amazing. Not only does he fully understand my condition and help me understand it, but this visit was almost cancelled due to his needing to be somewhere else. I called two separate times that we had non refundable tickets to fly in and out and cannot afford to buy new tickets. I even begged through Mychart. Dr. Muldoon assured me that he would be there for me on the scheduled date no matter what. He did just that. That day, I was his only patient. There are not enough words to describe how special this is and how much I appreciate all that Dr. Muldowney has and will continue to do! Thank you!

He is empathetic, kind, thorough, brilliant, up to date on medical research, and clearly communicates diagnoses, symptoms, implications, treatment options, and medication effects, interactions, side effects, and mechanisms of action. He looks at the whole picture of a patient and genuinely cares about an individual’s wellbeing. I have had many great and not so great doctors, and everyone I have seen at Vanderbilt has been awesome. I am so grateful to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, especially to Dr. Muldowney, for treating patients not just as problems inside a body but as unique human beings.
