Dr Ward has done replacement surgery on both my shoulders and repaired my husband’s rotator cuff. He has addressed other medical questions over the past several years as well. With his speciality in sports medicine, I’m a bit pleasantly surprised with the sincere caring and abundant knowledge he shows dealing with this senior citizen! Not only am I pleased with his medical expertise (and that of the entire staff at Blue Ridge) he always leaves with ‘Call me if you need me’.

Dr Ward just repaired a torn labrum in my shoulder. He took his time to explain the procedure and what I could expect during my recovery. He’s a great surgeon and very personable.

I am very pleased with both Dr. Ward and Dr. Smith’s care. Their emphasis on trying to help me before I take a surgery plunge, which I don’t want to do, is admirable. Dr. Ward was fantastic! I have frequently gone to Blue Ridge but this was my first time seeing Dr. Ward. He took the time to LISTEN and then to explain what are my options for treatment. He was informative and encouraging with a touch of funny to lighten the heaviness of a serious conversation. I could not have asked for more. I highly recommend Dr. Ward.
