I met Dr Purtill after my original physician left the practice. He was more than welcoming and extremely informative. I had a right total hip replacement at the Rothman surgical center in Bensalem. Everything from start to finish was wonderful. I’m so grateful to feel like myself again and would highly recommend this doctor.

Had excellent results with my knee replacement. The entire team is very professional, friendly & personable! Never had a difficult time making any appointments & when you arrive, you are seen almost immediately. We are friends for life!

Dr. Purtill provided me with excellent medical care in 2022 and 2023. I had arthritic and meniscus issues in my right knee in 2022, which he treated with a series of injections, and now that knee is once again a dependable part of my body. Then just last week, the same thing happened to my left knee and I went again to the Rothman Institute on Chestnut Street in Philadelphia-this time without an appointment -because the pain was so acute and I was unable to walk. Dr. Purtill saw me without an appointment; of course I had to wait but who wouldn't in those circumstances and waiting was certainly no problem. He made sure I was x-rayed in-house, and started treatment on the spot. I'm now scheduled for a series of treatments for that knee. He explains procedures and diagnoses clearly and succinctly. All of the staff at every level of patient care at Rothman in Philadelphia have been kind and very accommodating. I was so grateful for Dr. Purtill's fitting me into his busy schedule, he… deserves more than five stars.

Terrific surgeon, great person, empathetic, who explains everything and puts one at ease prior to and after surgery. I got my life back with a new knee!!
