Dr. James Roe Freeman, MD

I’ll start by saying that I was very impressed by Dr. Freeman’s bedside manner. I appreciated how he would sit down and get to know you as a patient and get your family history, where you grew up, what kind of work you do, etc. I’m giving two stars based on the fact that he missed diagnosing me with breast cancer. The first time I went to him about the lump under my arm, he suggested it was an inflamed lymph node. I had had enlarged lymph nodes before, and this did not feel like that, however I figured we could give that a try. He prescribed antibiotics and after completing them, I called back to let him know that nothing had changed. At this point, he prescribed another round of antibiotics and suggested referring me to a surgeon to have it removed. Unfortunately, this did not improve the situation either. When I went to him for the third time, this time being my annual physical, I brought it up again, and he joked around with a student who was also in the room by asking her if she… wanted to cut into it. I quickly said no, and he again suggested, referring me to a surgeon. I asked for a mammogram, and this time he gave me an order for one. Two weeks later, I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer and immediately had to start chemotherapy. I felt that I was not taken seriously. And the fact that I was not yet 40 maybe he didn’t think I needed a mammogram, but with something like that, I feel that should’ve been one of the first suggestions.

Dr. Freeman is the best!! His staff is wonderful!

He is a very caring man and really wants to help the best he can. It's not a get them in, get them out quick doc nor does he run way behind. He is wonderful, listens to my concerns and cares.

He is very patient and takes time to explain everything.

Dr. Freeman is a great caring doctor. Be prepared that your wait time could be longer because he is going to take the time he needs with each patient.

Doctor Freeman might be the most caring Doctor I have ever been to . But be prepared if you are shy or a private person for he ask everything .Too much information for me about times you have been married and former last names .If you are sexually active or if you mastrabate .if so does it hurt .I think they are legit questions but with such openness former sexually abused patients will be overly nervous .I think he should be careful and more thoughtful ask about abuse first before questions

Dr. Freeman's version of medicine is what we all hope for when we need medical care. He is thorough, extremely competent and very conscientious. I am grateful to have him as my physician.

Dr. Freeman is the most caring OBGYN I have ever had! He spends so much time with each and every patient and he is truly the most kind doctor you will ever talk to! He will answer all of your questions and take the time to explain everything to you. I can't recommend him enough!

I just left Dr Freeman's office, first time patent. He was the best Dr. I have seen in years!
