Dr. Thayer has worked with me for well over 30 years, and never given up hope or failed to treat me with dignity and respect. His knowledge of addiction is encyclopedic, and if you are serious about recovering from your addiction and restoring your life, you won't find a better physician on this planet. I can't speak for other planets, having never visited any of them that I can recall.

Not independent, not competent to perform evaluations for substance use disorders (he is an alcoholic in 12-step recovery, he is frequently used by professional licensing boards to diagnose substance use disorders in return for more board referrals -- and for a lucrative fee charged to the patient, and he is incapable of impartial determination of alcoholism/addiction in others because of these facts).
