Dr. James Sheldon Ruppert, MD

had been a patient of Dr. Ruppert for a very long time. He has changed a LOT. He changed to vegan life style which I think is great if that is what is good for his body. However I can not eat vegan due to an illness that prevents me eating soy, which was discovered by a different Dr. He will spend most of your visit pushing you to eat vegan and getting vaccinated. Even with my soy issue he still tried to push it on me. You can not see him in person if you are not vaccinated unless you spend your money on a covid test. So today I had a phone appointment with him. One last shot at keeping him. Well he was 20 minutes late, less then when his office was open. After he finally got on the line he told me he has covid. I asked why he does not see patients in person without being vaccinated. He said it is his policy to protect his patients and his staff. I stated that the science (science is the word he uses all the time) shows it is a false sense of security if your vaccinated because you can… be asymptomatic, as shown by him having covid, and if the real reason is to protect patients and staff then everyone should be tested. That didnt make sense to him. He does not like to be challenged by any other science other than what he reads. He also does not like you being in charge of your own health. I dont know about you but I want to be SEEN by my Physician not talked down to. He also told me he does not see sick patients so why is he a physician? Or how did he get covid? I thought that is why you go to the Dr. His receptionist Rosa is also VERY RUDE. When I brought that to his attention he told me to get another Dr. if I dont want to do what he says and I dont like how his office staff treats me. Well what he didn't know is I already have an appointment in one week with a real Dr. that wants to see his patients. My daughter had left Rupoert a long time ago and has been pushing me to switch to hers and now I have. Do not waste your time with this office or Dr. Ruppert you will wait forever, be treated poorly and not be treated as a person with your own beliefs or diagnosis about what is good for your body.

The staff gets worse and worse every year. I call ahead to make sure they are running on time and always get told yes. My last appt my wait was 1-1/2 past my appt time. With no apologies. Was sent for blood work and wasn't told I needed to fast for 10-12 hours prior. So more wasted time.

Dr. Ruppert Is a Great Dr. We moved to Ca. in 1987 I'm not sure when I first started seeing him, but I would think he was my Dr. for around 20 years. He is very thorough and always makes referrals to specialist who are well qualified for issues that he feels needs more attention. Dr Ruppert and his staff including his wife are very nice people. They are professional and compassionate. Since we recently moved to Florida I hope to find a doctor who is as competent as Dr. Ruppert is. Gary

Really GREAT Dr. good sense of humor, friendly staff

For the review dated Apri 23, 2013, there is no grip for Dr ruppert to get because he and the office are wonderful. They are very professional. I receive the best treatment from start to finish. They greet me by name when I come in and they review my visit when I leave. Dr. Ruppert conducts himself very professional and makes me feel very confidant in his decision makeing regarding my health. So the previous reviewer must be referring to another Dr. in another office. Definatley NOT this one.

I would remind Dr. Ruppert that your patients are the most important commodities and patients do come first, regardless of some of your rude staffs that you have and treasure them like Gods. You are the doctor and not your staffs. You make the decision and not your rude staff member. Like they say:- You work for a corporation of doctors managed by a corporation and your reputation is on the line with your peers. Staffs come and go but your main focus is with your patients. Get a grip of yourself because in the end the blame or hurt is with your office. You have been biased on one side of the story. This is absurd, pathetic that you take part of your staffs and instead of the patients you supposed to take care of and then why are you the doctor in the first place if you cant take care of your patients, but think that your staffs need class and pateint care no matter what age they are. You have really lost my faith in your practice as being a doctor, but need to reprimend your staffs… attitude. Shame on you and the way you treat your patients. Maybe you need to learn a bit of Dr. OZ's and other doctors advice. Patient's first because they come first and not your favorite staff who thinks that she is the doctor and not Dr. Ruppert. Shame on you and your practice. Family of patients first. Good and reliable staffs second who need to know ethics and class. Your staffs got lots to learn. Shame on you and who is the boss here!!!! You or your favorite staff!!!

Doctor is extremely thorough and staff is very attentive and timely. I changed insurance solely to stay with this doctor. Highly recommended.

I love Dr. Ruppert. He has been firm with me about situations I need a firm hand with and kind to me when I need kindness. Sometimes I would like to of spent more time talking about some of my medical issues but he is a good Doctor and busy. His girl Anna is a doll. Very careing and it forthcoming. All is staff is pretty good. If I were to complain about anything it would be being put on hold almost every time I call.
