Dr. James Sharon Thompson, MD

I have to agree that he is lacking bedside manner. However, you will get in to see him and if you present all of your symptoms clearly, and inform him of any history, he will give you an honest blunt diagnosis and an effective treatment. A Dr. sees a dozen or more patients a day, don't expect him to remember you or your history. Yes he told me I was a fat diabetic on a destructive path. That wasn't nice, but it made me go on a diet, lose weight, and improve my health. I didn't need nice, I needed the wake up call he gave me.

Office staff is mediocre at best. My first time seeing Dr. Thompson. When he came into the exam room, he didn't even introduce himself or ask my name. Asked me why I was there. Told him I had a bump on my back that I believed was a cyst and asked that it be removed. I was still sitting in the waiting chair in the exam room, not on the exam table. He came over to the chair, and started squeezing the heck out of the bump until it popped. I felt like a youtube viral video! I could feel pus oozing down my back. He put on gloves, grabbed ONE TISSUE and cleaned it up. Told me it was infected, spent five minutes typing on the computer, asked me which pharmacy I used and advised me he would call in a rx for an antibiotic. Told me to followup in a week. That was it, no other instructions on whether to bandage the site, put anything on it. Nothing. I can only imagine the infected gunk that he left on the chair, and I wonder how many other people were treated there before I sat on… it. Disgusting! I am currently doing research to find another doctor.

Made several mistakes when ordering my medication.

He is the worst doctor I have been to in 45 yrs of my living in USA

I went in with some chronic medical issues (and a family history of issues) a couple years ago. He treated me like I was a crazy person that was wasting his time. He told me that I was a 38 yr old woman and looked healthy so obviously there was nothing wrong with me. Told me to go on anxiety meds and all my issues would go away. At the end of the appointment, I asked him to check my ear, nose, and throat and he literally sighed like it was too much to ask. Recently someone suggested another doctor in the practice (I've long since went on to find a much better doctor but can no longer use him as my primary care). I refuse to go back to this practice though, because of how horrible he was to me. Funny, my other doctor was able to treat my issues and without the use of prescription drugs.

Doesn't listen, clearly doesn't review chart from last visit, long silence will he stares at computer for 5-10 minutes, can't remember what was discussed 30 days before(look at the chart!). I personally felt judged. I went on for depression ADHD issues, with prior history. He treated me like I was an junky. Despite the fact I started I would prefer non stimulate treatment. I feel bad because I had a fourth visit on the books that I skipped without calling, but no way was I going to bother seeing this again. Not only will I never see him again. I'm now actively looking for a while new office to visit. Maybe one out of the pinnical system.

Very rude, did not even bother looking at me, too busy looking at his laptop. Didn't seem interested in what was wrong with me and did not even seem to care about what I was saying. I asked if he could compare my weight to a previous appointment and his answer was "I'm not at that screen". I will never go to this office again. The man is a jerk.

I've seen this doctor 3 times and after each time I have said I will never see this man again. He has very poor bedside manor and won't listen to your concerns. He is arrogant. I think I would rather be seen by a voodoo doctor.

I would recommend Dr Thompson to anyone looking for a excellence family Doctor.

Each time I see him, he either takes calls, has the wrong patient chart and/or unprepared for my app. I had seen him a week before and had tests done and he had no clue. I like a doctor to look over my chart before seeing me. Unless they have extenuating circumstances. Just seems unprepared and flying by the seat of his pants each time I've been there.
