I had seen Dr Saalfield in the past as it was he who had treated me for chronic UTI problems. When I had spasms again years later, I returned to him after my GP gave me a round of meds that didn't help very much. Dr. Saalfield ordered a culture and his staff called with the information that I was on the wrong antibiotic for this infection, and a new RX had been sent to my pharmacy. A follow-up visit with him revealed that due to age, my bladder wasn't emptying as efficiently, and he gave me ways to improve voiding. I was never rushed, and he is very focused on solving problems, still.

Ive been a patient of Saalfields for a few years. I'd recommend him. Good problem solver, helped me make informed decisions. I have an enlarged prostate and get bouts of prostatitis. Had 2 biopsies, one from Saalfield and another, after my psa kept rising, from a colleague with better equipment. Point is, there are a lot of moving parts with my condition and he's been helpful in coming up with a workable solution at each phase of the discovery process.

I had a bad experience with Dr Saalfield and his office. He didn't spend enough time me answering my questions. Also, I wasn't satisfied with his diagnosis and his office overcharged me for the tests. They never mentioned it to me beforehand. Overall, it was a bad experience and hence I wouldn't recommened him to anyone!

I was having stomach pains for 2-3 days in a row. I had a history of kidney stone so decided to see a urologist and booked an appointment with Dr James Saalfield's office at Las Colinas Medical center in Irving, TX without reading any reviews or recommendations. BIG mistake!He spent less than 10 mins with me...asked me couple of questions...did a radiology test and said I don't have a kidney stone. I was relieved! but at the same time wanted to know why I have the pain in that area?? His reply was(quote), "I don't know. You will have to go to a general physician for that." !!The worst part was yet to come... I received the bills a week later amouting to $493 as patient responsibility!! Nobody in the doctor's office asked or informed me about these charges BEFORE I took the test. It was so unfair!I'll never ever recommend this doctor or the office to anybody. Period

Dr. Saalfield is an awsome doctor. From my experience with him he is very professional, caring, and attentive. I would definitely recommend him as a doctor to anyone who is in search of a urologist. Unfortunately, the front desk staff and his nurse (Denise) were very unprofessional and rude. Dr. Saalfied's nurse scheduled my son's surgery for the right date but wrong time. The receptionist and his nurse blamed my wife and I for the mishap and rudely snapped at us through the ordeal. I have never in my life experienced disrespectful and rude service like that before. Regardless of who fault it was the nurse and the receptionist should have made the necessary calls to correct the mistake. Thanks to Dr. Saalfied and the hospital they went above and beyond to squeeze my son into his schedule that day so that he could still have the surgery. No thanks to the nurse (Denise) and the office staff. Thanks again to Dr. Saalfield and the hospital!
