Dr. James Peter Tracey, MD

I just had my first colonoscopy with Dr. Tracey and his team. Everyone from the anesthesiologist to Cheryl the recovery rm Nurse made me feel very relaxed. Dr. Tracey made me feel very calm and confident having him as my doctor. Highly recommend him and his team.

Saw Dr. Tracy yesterday and he was an hour late seeing me! My last appointment with him time to move on to someone who cares about their patients. Voiced my concerns about how his sectary treats his patients and he just kept his head down playing with his tablet and could have cared less. Never said why he was an hour late or even apologized for it. So I told him I am moving on to a new Dr. in his office. Age is wisdom so he should use some of that to make his staff take a customer service course. Your employees can make you look bad and that is what is happening here !

I have been a patient of Dr Tracy for 14 years now and have no problem with my care . I do have a problem with trying to get answers to easy questions with his secretary Lucy. She gives wrong information and just wants to get you off the phone. I can't get past her to get my questions answered . She is rude and very unprofessional. Don't try calling the office because it just keeps ringing and she will not pick it up. If she does you will be on hold for more than 20 minutes. He needs a new secretary. Just try to get blood work put into the system and get it faxed to another Dr. ! Same game I have to play with her every 6 months. Time for a change !

I was with Dr. Tracey for 1 year with several gastro issues and was in the emergency room so often that the doctors there knew why I was there and how to treat me. Dr. Tracey never gave me follow up appointments after tests and I would have to go to the hospital and pick up the reports myself. I could call 6 times to let him know I was sick and he wouldn't call back or have an appointment made for a visit. He did do some tests but no quick follow-ups. I would have to be pounding on his door after another emergency room visit to see him. I ended up seeing 2 surgeons at UMass in Worcester and my gallbladder was removed almost immediately, it was totally inflamed, and another surgeon at UMass is treating me for another condition who gave me the proper medication. I have not had a sick call or an emergency room visit since I left Dr. Tracey and had 2 wonderful surgeons take care of me. Dr. Tracey even wrote down on his medical records that NO doctor will ever take out my gallbladder since… I did not have issues with it.Thank you UMass for your super doctors, care and being caring.
