Dr. Janet Giardina Donovan, MD

I have had multiple horrible experiences with dr. Donovan. She has canceled appointments on me stopped medications with no explanation the well-being of the patient just doesn't seem to come first I felt as if she was phoning it in on a daily basis

I have been seeing Dr. Donovan for a couple of years. She listens and gives me referrals when I need them.

Dr Donovan does not take womens issues and symptoms seriously. She does not provide comprehensive health examination. She does not provide referrals for serious health problems she cannot treat. My 4 month presentation to her of heart problems received no care, consideration, or referral. Her lack of concern or care can be dangerous. It was for me.

I felt I received attentive and appropriate care from Dr. Donovan. I'm a new patient, and she sat and patient listened to me. I appreciated her interest.

Have seen Dr. Donovan for many years. She is a great doctor, an excellent listener and she's got a great sense of humor.

I went to her a total of 3 times. On the third visit I had a horrific rash and I asked her for some sort of medication that could help with the itch and the rash until I was able to get in to see a dermatologist. She flat-out refused. Told me to buy an over-the-counter cream which I told her I had attempted to use and it did no good. Ironically a few days later I ended up in the ER for something completely different, the doctor there noticed my rash and he asked why I wasn't being treated for it. I told him what happened and he was horrified and immediately prescribed me a mild steroid to clear up the rash and also something to help with the itch. It was gone within a week, and the rash was gone within a week. She doesn't listen, doesn't communicate at all she did is very condescending as well. I have not been back and I don't recommend her to anybody. She has no patient empathy and no communication skills.

Office staff frequently failed to communicate accurately with each other. The doctor didn't seem to want to share information for preventative medicine. She seemed to just want to order labs and prescribe medicine.

Seems like she doesn't have any interest in your issues, or have any real information on anything you ask about. Will not be back. It's unfortunate because the rest of the staff is really nice, and there are several other doctors in her office that are great.

I read a review on another site and I have to agree with it. I just switched PCPs because my experience with Dr. Donovan has been awful. I have chronic kidney stones, and they were so bad two years ago, I almost lost my left flank. I ended up in the hospital a couple of weeks ago and they told me to follow up with my PCP and get a referral to a urologist. SHE REFUSED to give me a referral and told me that she didn't think my kidney stones were a problem. I also have diabetes. She ordered blood work to be done on a Thursday. Went into her office and she decided that she wanted to have more blood drawn that Monday morning for more tests. I then went to seek assistance from a naturapathic Dr. and I needed a referral for her as well. SHE REFUSED to give me a referral yet again. I thought she was pulling my leg, but this chick is for real. I have never been treated the way I was treated with her. DO NOT GO! STAY AWAY! She just wants to load you up on meds with no directions or cure or… diagnosis.

I was very disappointed in my initial visit with this doctor. I will not be returning
