Dr. Janet N. Tamai, DO

This review is for her Secretary. The Dr herself is (5 STARS) .. e been a patient od Dr Janet Tamaih who has been great however now she jas a different girl that handles her messages (Bridgette) who is a rude nasty and disrespectful person. She refuses to schedule appointments and is refusing to relay messages to the Dr even though the Dr specifically said to call back yet this girl it's violating policy, and medical oaths by making patient suffer and go without urgent treatments due to her own personal issues she has towards people. I am now stuck trying to find another provi der to start completely over with and have to wait 6 months now for different practice. If my spinal cord injury gets worse or I become paralyzed or die because of this Bridgette! I hope and wish my surviving family to sue the crap out of this place and try pressing criminal charges against her.

Very caring, takes the time to listen.

Took almost 18y and 5 neurologists to find a kind, intelligent, neuro that is thorough in exams, talks to me NOT at me, respects choices (i.e., fine with my choosing not to add a medication -- I was blown away when she said, "it's your body" followed with, " if you ever change your mind or want to discuss further, let me know ... WE will continue to monitor meds & condition(s)"). Each appointment, I my respect grows! Every note for rehab services (even my physical therapist comments Dr. Tamai returns calls promptly, provides written approval for services & DME within days of requests -- always discussing potential benefits with my physical therapist first, concerned about the details of my treatment!) A caring doctor who took the time to know a little about me; works with other doctors and healthcare practitioners of whom ALL have made positive comments (ranging from ease to contact; knowledgeable about my entire case; and the wonderful experiences collaborating with… her). Most important, I trust Dr. Tamai. And, I notice more health improvements under her care than with any other neurologist! I'm lucky I finally found a neurologist suberb in more ways I can list ... the 1st I would recommend to others as well.

Dr. Tamai has been my doctor in the Kingston practice for 3 years. She listens to my neurological problems and gives me the correct meds and has even adjusted them as needed. Easy to get a hold of, staff is so nice and friendly, they always return phone calls.. She is patient and kind, I do not want to see anyone else.. she is great as a doctor..

Spent 6 months and she was telling me i was not hurt. After one vist to another i was told what was wrong. The sad thing is i think she knew what was wrong with me. Not a nice person
