Dr. Janis Michele Caruso, MD

It really doesn't matter how wonderful a physician is if they won't give you an appointment for a month when you are sick. Looking for a new family doctor.

I have had Dr. Caruso for 10 years + and as long as she is practicing I will stay with her. She is honest and to the point. She takes the time to listen and understand what you are trying to say. Your a person, not a chart number.

My 82 year old mother went to visit Dr. Caruso for her yearly physical. They NEVER listened to her heart or did anything resembling a physical. When asked about any problems, my mother mentioned her hands. One hand is so frozen her palm will not lay flat. Dr. Caruso assured my mom that the arthritis had done its damage, so she no longer needed to take arthritis medicine. HELLO, did you look at the other hand that has swollen knuckles, is red, and has a burning sensation several times a year???? I called the office and Dr. Caruso was gone at 3:30p.m. The operated said "Your mom said she was here for her hand." I said "Look at her file. She called in months ago for her yearly physical. Have you all ever asked her to draw a clock to check her mental status." This is the worst treatment I have ever experienced. We will be taking my mom to an INTERNAL MEDICINE PHYSICIAN as soon as possible.

Maybe it's because this isn't internal medicine but there was absolutely no follow up for my care. I had significant issues and the staff dropped the ball. This place is fine for the sniffles and lab work. Go elsewhere for thorough care.

WE ARE THE OLD PATIENTS BUT WHEN WE HAD CAR ACCIDENT THE EMERGEMCY ROOM DOCTOR AT THE HOSPITAL RECOMMENDED US GO TO THE PRIMARY DOCTOR FOR CHECK UP. WE MADE A PHONE CALL FOR APPOINTMENT, THEY ASK US FOR THE REASON, WHEN I HEARD CAR ACCIDENT THEY SAID WE DO NOT TAKE CARE OF CAR ACCIDENT PATIENTS AND HANG UP THE PHONE RIGHT AWAY, THEY DID NOT LET YOU SAY ANYTHING OR EXPLAIN ANYTHING, IS THAT OUR FAMILY DOCTOR ?

I've been seeing Dr. Caruso for about three years. I really appreciate her thoughtfulness and understanding. I feel like she really gives me the time needed for thoroughly answering my questions. I never feel rushed.

Really discurteous staff answering telephone. 20 plus minute wait on hold.

My primary reason for transferring to Dr. Janis was my hope that a female could better understand a woman going through Peri-menopause. My male doctor had nothing but test results to reference and I needed someone who would use the test results and listen to me (after all I had been in this body for over 40 years). Dr. Janis always listened to me, never made me feel like I had to hurry up so she could move onto the next patient and never lectured me, just provided advice and clear medical guidance.

Awful! They broke the needle in my daughters leg after giving her of the MMR vaccine. The nurse came back in with a full syringe and was going to give her the whole dose. They were going to overdose my daughter on the MMR vaccine! I am glad I was watching this idiot nurse like a hawk. I got very angry and told the nurse to get the doctor immediately. Dr. Caruso seems like she is on sedatives stares at you like a deer in headlights. During one appointment, she did not know enough to diagnose a skin fungus. The PA, Emily Sullivan, is excellent (very good actually), but too bad she works at this practice. This practice is only good if you need a prescription for penicillin if you have bad cold.

i just didnt feel like she or the staff cared...i was left alone for about 30 mins after being seen by the nurse, and then the doctor. i went in for something small, which should of took no more than 30mins, and in all i was in there for about an hour and a half.
