Dr Jaou-Chen Huang

Explained a very complicated medical procedure in a detailed and approachable manner, complete with a diagram for my partner and I to take home and refer back to. He allowed us plenty of time for questions and made sure that we were comfortable with all steps before making future plans. He is warm and approachable and we feel lucky that he is managing our care!

After a failed round of IVF at a local clinic in Lubbock, my wife and I took our "case" to him for advice and a review. At this point, we had been told by our urologist, gynecologist and primary care physician that IVF was a reasonable option for us and were shocked when we lost 6 embryos on the 4th day of maturity and our first attempt with our best embryo (1 of 2), failed after two days. Somewhat lost, we tried to get a consultation with him, but his staff was initially confused because we weren't "looking to attempt fertility treatments" and said it couldn't be done. Eventually, he called me personally to ask why we just wanted a consultation and had us setup a meeting. During this meeting, he looked over our history for about 5 minutes and quickly deduced what several other physicians had not--that I most likely had a genetic issue. He succinctly explained how he came to this conclusion and the meeting was over in about 15 minutes. This might seem impersonal, but these 15 minutes… changed our lives, because if we had not received this information we might have continued to spend money and time attempting IVF. Instead, we could focus our efforts on adoption and foster care. Even further, I know he is a busy man who did not have to see us under our circumstances, but chose to help us regardless.

He was EXTREMELY rude. No sensitivity to fertility issues at all. He gave me absolutely no help and then when I told him my issues and my regular OBGYN sent me to him he asked why I was even there. Horrible experience.

Doctor Huang is amazing, just by one look at the and MRI he found me having bicornuate unicollis utures, he right away made surgery that was successful. He gives all his time to the patient and hes a very considerate person. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Huang was the first and only doctor who has ever sat with me for a full hour to discuss every single question I had. He never rushed our appointment and made sure that he provided full explanations of all the treatment options. He was honest, considerate, and thorough. The same goes for the rest of the doctors and nurses in his office.
